You may be amazed by how little money I spent to visit all these vacation spots. Of course, we just happened to have coupons for everything. You will also notice that I won't tell you how much it cost because it is none of your business. ;) |

Isn't he scary? The tower of terror was the best ride at MGM Studios |
Bon voyage! Maelstrom demonstrated the horrors of Viking legends |
During the six day stay, we visited several different theme parks. Click any of the links below to be taken to that part of the page. In order, they are...
ALWAYS wear sunscreen, even if it is cloudy outside. Yes, I did wear sunscreen, but make sure you apply it to any parts you may have in your hair styling (that is the part I forgot to apply sunscreen), and also apply sun block at least twice. You can just imagine someone with a sunburn right down the part in his hair in the middle of his head. I'm just glad nobody could see it and make jokes about it. Other than that, I enjoyed this park, it had rides for both kids and adults. Imagine slides bigger than The Plunge at The Beach. This park was entertaining, but I have been to better in the Cheese State.
The only thing they don't have here is enough time to look at it all! This park consists of many different rides, anything from dropping you six stories to a cozy tour around town via train. There were a few roller coaster rides, including one very similar to the Flight of Fear. The coaster was themed with the band Aerosmith. Remember: Aerosmith cares about their fans (don't ask). Time elapse view of main boulevard |
Perhaps the worst day of our vacation. In the previous parks there were practically no lines and plenty of water fountains. Many people became sick between the crowding and the heat. There were some sweet rides, located in five different sections of the park. My most memorable moment was making my friends dizzy in a ride where one could spin their car by turning a wheel. Or maybe it was everyone getting lost in the park alone and getting scared senseless...
This day I spent with the parents of the family who were kind enough to take me with them. We had decided that roller coasters would probably interest us more than Universal Studios, where my friends went that day. I had never been on such intense roller coasters. They weren't better than the coasters at King's Island, but they definitely had more stunts to them. I do recall that if you know what is coming up, you don't black out as bad as the first time. I wonder why there are only 20 minute lines for everything? I believe that was also the night where we ate at a castle where we were entertained by bizarre performances. I prefer Medieval Times, but the food wasn't too shabby. I now know that the attraction where we had dinner has gone out of business, which is too bad, because I had a link to their page at the bottom which has now been removed.
If you ever go to Florida, this is a MUST see theme park. If you have ever been in the Orlando area, more than likely you have not been to this place. It opened less than three years ago, and is on cutting edge of themes, the best rides, and special effects. When we were there, we could not believe the scenery and planning going into the park. I strongly advise checking out all the links provided to this utopia. |

Little crowds, short lines, and even a place for kiddies (which most of the teenagers went on also). The sweetest roller coaster ever is found in the back right of the park, called the Dueling Dragons. It was at most a 10 minute wait, and the entire time the line is being weaved through a air-conditioned dungeon. Not too shabby. Pick one of two tracks to adventure, both with their own features. Don't worry, you will see your friends on the trip - in fact - you will twice come within a foot's distance of them! Check out coaster statistics here. |
I remember those little water-color shooting fountains at this place when I was nine. When I came back seven years later, I expected to find the park filled with fountains! I was a little disappointed when all I found were two, after a long search, but that's ok, I think my brain by the end of this day couldn't handle any more. Out of all the parks, I would call this one the most academic. Most rides taught subjects such as hydroponics (a big word for "the laboratory of plants") and ocean life. There was that big ball thing in the middle of the park that people go into... I believe the ride broke down for about seven minutes when we were on it. Luckily my car was underneath a black, quiet ceiling, so we were able to take naps and use our time productively. We made our escape that night, during the fireworks when everyone was marveling at things blowing up (don't we all?). One has to make it out before the park closes and traffic forms.
