The original and the best one in the series, this game has it all. Tough enemies, great puzzles, and spooky music as well as great characters. Capcom didn't make a mistake in making this game. This game is an excellent startoff for the series and is worth buying. Personally, I think it is creepier and a bit more difficult than the others.

Get ready for a horrifying nightmare as a virus everyone thought to be impossible plagues Raccoon City. Recent killings in the Arklay Mountains lead to an investigation that goes nowhere. The S.T.A.R.S. Bravo Team is sent to search Raccoon Forest for any clues, and they disappear in doing so. That night, the S.T.A.R.S. Alpha Team, although wasn't intending to go, is sent to recover the Bravo Team. Disaster strikes as Joseph Frost is killed in the forest by a Cerberus. Running away, the rest of the Alpha Team spots a mansion, and runs inside. Now, one of them has disappeared and it's up to you to survive and get to the finish.
