Daniel Chan- Jolin's best buddy, Jimmy's cousin, has a crush on Vicki.

Unknown to Daniel, what he said was like a knife stabbing Jolin's heart. But she managed to say "How is that possible? We didn't graduate from high school yet!"
"So, I dun think I'm that young to fall in love." said Daniel "I started having a crush on her ever since I first met her. I guess that's what everyone called.. love at first sight."
Jolin feeling worse, said "So who is this unlucky girl?"
"For your information, your cousin is this unlucky girl." said Daniel
"Vicki?" asked Jolin
"How many of your cousins do I know?" asked Daniel
"Ooo... You like Vicki, I see." said Jolin who was about to blast out tears any time soon.
"I dun like her. I LOVE HER!" exclaimed Daniel "I dunno if I should tell her or not."
Trying her best to act normal, Jolin said "Of course you have to tell her! From what you said, your crush on her lasted five years already."
"Really? Damn!" said Daniel "But how am I gonna tell her? I'm dead nervous just thinking about telling her."
"Just ask her out for dinner and then tell her." said Jolin "I hope that's easy enough for you."
"Thanx a lot buddy." said Daniel getting up "Gotta go and plan out everything. See ya."
"Bye." said Jolin before tears start running non stop down on her cheeks.

At the same time Daniel was talking to Jolin, Jimmy was talking to Vicki.
"Ugh, Vicki?" said Jimmy nervously
"Yea?" asked Vicki also sorta nervous
"I just wanna tell you that..... I like you.. alot." said Jimmy "And, I was wondering if you can be my girlfriend."
Blushing, Vicki said "I have the same feeling towards you, so of course, I'd love to be your girlfriend."
Bending down little by little, Jimmy and Vicki gave eachother their very first kiss.
Without their notice, Daniel saw the whole thing and was heart broken. He ran back to the tree as fast as possible, and his heart beat was so fast that he thought it could go a million miles an hour.
Seeing Daniel back so fast, Jolin asked "What are you doing here? Aren't you suppose to ask Vicki out?"
"There is no need to now." said Daniel in a sad tone
"What happened?" asked Jolin
"I was going to ask Vicki out, but I saw her... and Jimmy... kissing." said Daniel "I doubt she ever considered me more than just a friend."
'But I did, and I still do' thought Jolin but decided not to tell Daniel that.
"Why does it have to be my cousin that she likes?" asked Daniel
'That's what I would like to ask you!' thought Jolin, but she said "Come on, love is unpredictable. I hope you'll feel better and move on."
"I'll try." said Daniel "I guess I'll just take a walk and think."
"Be careful." warned Jolin who doubt he can think about anything but Vicki
"Thanks buddy." said Daniel forcing out a smile
"Just come to me if you need someone to talk
to." said Jolin
"Oh yeah, you're not mad at Jimmy are you? I mean, after all, he IS your
cousin."
"No, it's not his fault, I never told him I like Vicki anyway." said Daniel "See ya."
"Bye." said Jolin 'I hope he feels better'
Although Daniel wanted and tried to move on, but still,
he can not forget Vicki and look for other girls. After all, Vicki is his first
love. Ever since he saw Jimmy and Vicki kissing, he is always depressed,
especially around Vicki and Jimmy, who are always together. Jolin on the other
hand, hates the way Daniel acts. She prays every night for Daniel to be like
himself again, it hurts her so much seeing Daniel this way. Sometimes she want
to yell at Vicki for making Daniel like this, but she knows its not Vicki's
fault at all. She couldn't tell Vicki about her feelings, so one day, she
decided to tell her two other good buddies, Cecilia and Theresa.
"Thanks you guys for coming over." said Jolin "But if I dun talk
to someone, I'm gonna get a nervous breakdown soon."
"No problem, we are your good buddies." said Cecilia
"Yea, so what's the problem?" asked a concerned Theresa
"Hold on." said Cecilia "From how depressed you look, it must be
something about Daniel."
"How did you know?" asked Jolin
"WE KNOW YOU EVER SINCE WE WERE IN DIAPERS SO OF COURSE WE KNOW!"
yelled Cecilia and Theresa together which finally made Jolin laugh.
"Hey, you laughed." exclaimed Theresa happily
"Spill the beans." said Cecilia
"Well, you both know that I like Daniel." started Jolin but got
interrupt by Theresa.
"You mean, you LOVE him right?" teased Theresa
"Well, yea." said Jolin blushing "But you guys didn't know that
he loves Vicki ever since I introduced her to him years ago."
"WHAT?!" asked Cecilia
"Yes!" said Jolin "He was going to tell Vicki how he feels about
her on the same day Jimmy asked Vicki to be his girlfriend."
"Poor Daniel." said Theresa
"Anyway, what hurts him so much is that he didn't even have a chance to
tell Vicki. He saw Jimmy asking Vicki, and he also saw him kissing her. And from
that day on, he always look so depressing." explained Jolin
"oh..." said Cecilia and Theresa
"You know how much it hurts me to see Daniel so depressed?" asked
Theresa "He didn't even go out to celebrate when he got the basketball
trophy."
"Damn, if he didn't go celebrate for THAT, then he must be really
sad." said Theresa
"Yea" agreed Cecilia
"It has been six years ever since that happened, and he is still like this.
I wonder when is he gonna come out of this." said Jolin sadly
"I know what you mean, especially when Daniel sees Jimmy and Vicki
everyday. I feel sorry for Daniel, I mean, I was in the same place before."
said Cecilia
"Yea, but your different. Isn't Alec with you now?" said Jolin
"True." said Cecilia
"You two." said Jolin pointing at Theresa and Cecilia "Tell Alec
and Nicholas to have a talk with Daniel. They are his buddies and teammates, so
they should make Daniel feel a lil better."
"Yes madam!" said Theresa and Cecilia acting like police officers.
"Thanks guys." said Jolin sincerely
"Daniel should be so thankful for a girl like you to love him." said
Cecilia putting her head on Jolin's shoulder.
One month later:
It was their senior dance, which means that they are going to graduate from
college very soon.
"I hope it had been four wonderful years for all of you." said the
principal "I know it was for me...."
"Yadda yadda yadda." said Cecilia with a annoyed face "Just
announce the king and queen and get it over with."
"Be patient." said Theresa
While the principal was blasting out this boring speech, Daniel was thinking 'I
hope Vicki and I could be the king and queen of the dance.'
"Without talking furthermore, let me announce the king and queen."
said the principal
"FINALLY!" said Theresa letting out a deep breath
"I know right." said Nicholas putting his hands on Theresa's waist
from the back
"Damn that was boring." said Alec "Not to mention, LONG."
"Quite guys." said Vicki "He is gonna announce it, probably some
snobby girl."
"The king is...... Jimmy Lin!" said the principal
"Oh my dear god." said Jimmy while everyone was pushing him toward the
stage.
"And the queen is... Vicki Zhao!" announce the principal once again.
"Ah!! Vicki! Go up there!" said Theresa
"Yea, what are you waiting for?" asked Cecilia
Seeing Vicki too happy to move, Jolin yelled "GO!" into Vicki's ears
which finally woke Vicki up.
Walking up onto the stage, a pretty girl named Ruby put a crown on Vicki's
perfectly made up hair.
"I want to thank all of you for voting for me, this means a lot." that
was all Jimmy can say, he was busy thinking about how to ask Vicki, whom he went
out with for six years already.
"I want to thank all of you too for making me the queen. I know there are
other beautiful girls that deserves a lot more than me, I am very thankful for
this." said Vicki so happy that she is close to tears.
When the principal were about to tell the couple to dance, he got stopped by
Jimmy.
"I want to make this evening more special." said Jimmy "By asking
Vicki a very important question."
Going on his knees and took out a black box, Jimmy asked "Would you marry
me Vicki?"
'Oh my god!' thought Vicki, Jolin, Daniel, Alec, Cecilia, Nicholas, and Theresa
altogether.
Vicki stood there stunned while the crowd shouted "Answer him!"
"YES!" cried Vicki finally answering Jimmy
"YEAH!" yelled everyone while Daniel thought 'NO!'
"Thank you!" said Jimmy happily as he put the beautiful specially
designed ring onto Vicki's slim fingers before picking Vicki up and spinning her
around.
"Wow! What a night to remember!" commented the principal, and then
said into the microphone "Let the king and queen, not to mention, the newly
engaged couple, have a dance together."
Carrying Vicki down the stage before putting her down for the dance, Jimmy put
his hands around Vicki's waist and Vicki put her arms around Jimmy's shoulder.
Everyone was watching the romance between the two people in front of their eyes.
But Daniel couldn't take it anymore, he stormed out of the ballroom with Jolin,
Cecilia, Theresa, Alec and Nicholas running behind. However, they were too late,
by the time they arrived outside, Daniel was nowhere to be seen.
"Shit!" cursed Nicholas
"Where da hell can he go?" asked Alec
"I dunno" said Cecilia
"Let go look for him separately." suggested Theresa
"right." said Nicholas
"Yea.." said Jolin "Nick, go with Theresa and Alec, go with
Cecilia."
"No!" argued Cecilia "Its late, and its not safe for you to go
out alone at night."
"Dun worry!" said Jolin "Just go!"
"Let her go." said Alec "She could be very stubborn
sometimes."
"Okay, but be careful alright?" asked Theresa
"Dun worry about me guys." said Jolin putting on a fake smile
"Just go look for him."
"We'll call each other's cell if any of us finds him okay?" asked
Nicholas
"Okay." said everyone before heading toward different cars
Jolin didn't care where the other went to look for Daniel, she got this idea
where Daniel might be, The Heaven. (Sorry with that stupid name that I made up)
The Heaven, was a pub where Daniel goes whenever he is depressed. He has been
going there a lot during these years. Once Jolin followed him there and found
out about this place.
"Get the hell outa here." said Daniel not even looking at the girl.
"Come on, let's go have some fun." said the girl again
"I SAID GET THE HELL OUTA MY FACE YOU BITCH!!!" yelled Daniel as he push the girl out of his way.
"ugh!" screamed the girl "Fine!"
Daniel was about to walk out of the pub, which was hard cuz he was totally drunk, Jolin came in and saw him.
"Daniel!" exclaimed Jolin pulling the drunk Daniel out of the pub. "What da hell!"
"I.. have been... waiting...waiting for six years...and now, now, Vicki is gonna marry..... Jimmy." said Daniel while laughing his head off.
Daniel was just babbling non stop about Vicki marrying Jimmy before Jolin slapped him HARD.
"What?" asked Daniel
"Yes! I slapped you!" cried Jolin "I do hope that'll wake you up!"
"What... do.. do you mean?" asked Daniel
"WHAT DO I MEAN?" yelled Jolin "CAN'T YOU JUST GET OVER VICKI?? YOU HAVE BEEN A DEPRESSING FREAK FOR SIX YEARS! SIX YEARS!!! DON'T YOU KNOW THAT IS ANOTHER GIRL THAT CARES ABOUT YOU A LOT MORE THAN HER? VICKI, VICKI, VICKI! DUN YOU KNOW ANYTHING ELSE BESIDES VICKI?"
Jolin was yelling at Daniel, letting out all the thoughts that she have been holding for six years.
"But.." said Daniel "I love Vicki."
"I know you love Vicki. You have been waiting for her for six years, and now she is getting married. Can't you just move on? Did you ever thought of me more than just a buddy of yours? Don't you know that I exist? While you were busy being a depressing freak, where was I? I was freaking praying for you to finally wake up and face the damn world again!" screamed Jolin letting out all her pains
"Jolin." said Daniel "I'm sorry."
"Your sorry? Ya noe, I dun care if I get anything from you in return, I just want you to be like yourself again. MOVE ON!" said Jolin sadly before walking away.
"You idiot!" cursed Daniel to himself "Jolin was here for you all along and you don't realize it, you idiotic freak!"
By the time Daniel got all his senses, which took sorta long, cuz he still has a lot of alcohol in him, he started running around to look for Jolin. But sadly, Jolin was nowhere to be seen.
"CRAP!" said Daniel "Jolin, give me a chance."
The next day:
Daniel was looking everywhere for Jolin.
"Ceci, did you see Jolin?" asked Daniel anxiously
"Finally got some senses huh?" asked a angry Cecilia
"Please tell me where she is... PLEASE!" begged Daniel
"She is on her way to Canada. If you go the airport now, you might get to see her." said Cecilia
"GO YOU IDIOT!" shouted Alec
Daniel got to the airport as fast as he could. He was speeding over limit, so he got stopped by the police. After giving the police his drivers license, he quickly explained everything to the office before running to the airport on foot leaving his car behind.
He got there just in time to see Jolin walking unto the airplane. Daniel yelled at the top of his lungs, but Jolin couldn't hear him.
Daniel somehow got outside to see Jolin take off. Finally, Jolin saw him jumping around to get her attention. But it was too late, the plane had taking off. That was the last time Daniel saw Jolin, in tears.
"NO!!" cried Daniel going on his knees "Come back!"
One day:
"Hello?" said Jolin
"Hey! Its me, Vicki." said Vicki on the other end of the line.
"Hi Vic. Wassup?" asked Jolin
"Meet me at the cafe down the corner in five minutes okay?" asked Vicki
"Sure...." said Jolin
"Great, c ya." said Vicki in a hurry
At the cafe:
"Jo, over here." said Vicki, who was sitting with Jimmy, Cecilia,
Theresa, Alec, Nicholas, and her one year old daughter, Alexia.
"Hey Vicki. Hi lil Alexia." greeted Jolin "Why is everyone here?"
"Well..." started Vicki "Jolin, Cecilia and Theresa told me everything..... and I just want to say, I'm sorry."
"Yea, me too." apologized Jimmy
"Guys, it's not your fault." said Jolin and turned sideways giving Cecilia and Theresa a look.
"Thanks for forgiving us." said Jimmy "Oh yeah, are you free on Friday?"
"Why? Asking me out? I think my cousin is gonna be jealous." joked Jolin
"We are all going together." said Nicholas
"Yep." said Alec
"Where?" asked Jolin "And why?"
"DUN YOU REMEMBER? ITS YOUR BIRTHDAY ON FRIDAY!!" cried Vicki and Nicholas.
"Oh yea..." said Jolin "I guess I am just too busy these days."
"Exactly, so take a break." said Theresa
"Maybe after I finish with all da work." said Jolin
"Anyway, I'm not even gonna ask you. You ARE coming with us what so ever." said Cecilia cheekily.
"Huh? Where?" asked Jolin
"You'll see." said Alec in a mysterious tone.
"oKAY." said Jolin giving everyone a weird look.
They chatted for another hour and played with lil Alexia.

~ Flash back ~
"hello." said Vicki
"Vicki?" said the person "It's Daniel."
"DANIEL CHAN?? Da famous singer?" asked Vicki excitedly
"Hey! He IS my cousin." shouted Jimmy in the background making Daniel laugh.
"I was just kidding. So what's up?" asked Vicki
"Ugh.. you noe on Friday its Jolin's birthday right?" asked Daniel.
"Yep." said Vicki
"Can you guys bring her to my concert?" asked Daniel again.
"Sure...." said Vicki "Why?"
"Its gonna be a surprise for her." said Daniel
"Huh?" asked Vicki
"Just tell Cecilia, Theresa, Alec and Nicholas that I want them to tell you about IT." said Daniel nervously
"IT?" said Vicki not understanding Daniel's meaning.
"You'll see." said Daniel "Oh yeah, I told the person that is in charge of the tickets your names. So you guys dun pay and all you have to do is tell the guy your names."
"Cool. Do we get front row seats?" joked Vicki
"We better!" yelled Jimmy again
"Of course." said Daniel
"Great, I'll see you then!." said Vicki before hanging up.
"Jimmy hon, what are you doing?" asked Vicki
"Changing lil Alexia's diaper." said Jimmy "Did I ever tell you that it smells bad?"
"Only a zillion times." laughed Vicki. "I'm gonna call Cecilia okay?"
"Sure, go ahead. I'll take care of this lil thing." said Jimmy trying not to breath so he won't smile the diaper.
"Cecilia, Daniel want you to tell me IT." said Vicki in a confused tone.
"Oh..." said Cecilia not really sure about it. "Okay, it all happened like this......."
~ End of flash back ~

On Friday:
"Why are we here?" asked a angry Jolin when she arrived at the concert
hall and saw Daniel's picture.
"I can't tell you yet." said Cecilia "We are not sure ourselves."
"Please just go in." said Alec
"PLEASE..." begged Jimmy "See, even Alexia is giving you a puppy face." Showing Jolin a sleeping Alexia which made Jolin smile.
"You noe, I dun like it when you use Alexia." said Jolin "Fine, let's go then."
At the end of the concert, Daniel said "That song that I just sang was dedicated to my cute lil niece who just turned one."
And all the fans screamed and yelled, yadda yadda yadda.
After all the fans quiet down, Daniel said "My next song, which is also the last song that I will be singing tonight, is called 'Love You From My Heart' (Sorry, dun really know how to translate that), and is dedicated to a special girl *Looking at Jolin*.
After he finished singing the song, he said "I'm sorry Jolin, that it took me so long to realize that you were always there for me. I guess I was jut to caught up that time. I also want to thank you for waking me up years ago at the pub. I'm asking you now, please give me a chance to be with you? I know, that you are the one for me. Please come up to the stage if you forgive me and please, please give me another chance."
By that time, Jolin was sobbing. After a few VERY quiet minutes, everyone cheered as Jolin walked up on the stage before Daniel give her the tightest hug ever.
"Thank you! Thank you for giving me another chance!" exclaimed a happy Daniel, not caring what the media will write about them.
"She is so pretty!" commented one of Daniel's fans.
"And cute!" said another fan.
"You accept me now right?" asked Daniel, ya noe, just to make sure.
Seeing Jolin giving a shy nod, Daniel lift up Jolin's chin and gave her the most passionate kiss ever, in front of his fans!
"YEAH!!!" cheered everyone
