Vicki: She is from a rich family, but she is very nice, not snobby at all. She is very caring towards her friends and family, also very sweet and sometimes act like a little girl. At school, she is a average student but very popular.
Theresa: Also from a rich family. Of course, she's Vicki's older sister. Similar personality with Vicki, but unlike Vicki, she actually stands up for herself. Very protective over Vicki. Also a average student and is also popular.
Cecilia: Rich, and very quiet. She doesn't talk much, unless if she is with Theresa and Vicki, they are like her sisters. Straight A student, but not as popular as Vicki and Theresa since she doesn’t talk much.
Alec: He is very rich too, could be playful at times. Unlike other hot guys, he is not a heartbreaker. He is very serious when it comes to relationships. Captain on the basketball team. He likes girls that acts like themselves, not the ones that are covered with make ups.
Daniel: The richest among his friends. Depressed all the time because of what happened four years ago. Never had a relationship ever since 'it' happened. MVP of the basketball team. Popular.
Jimmy: Son of a senator. Very nice and caring, likes to play around. Never had experience in relationships before. Handsome, with a great taste of fashion. Although he could be very playful at times, volunteers at senior center when he has free time.
At school:
“Ceci, please stop looking at him.” Said Vicki seeing Cecilia sneaking peeks
at Daniel, who was talking to his friends next to his locker.
"I know, but why does he always look so sad?" asked Cecilia
"Wanna noe why?" asked Theresa
"Yea." said Cecilia
"It's not the time now, class is going to start soon." said Vicki "Let's have a sleep over at our house tonight and we'll tell you."
"Okay." said Cecilia finally dragging her feet toward the classroom.
Later that day at Vicki and Theresa's house:
"I just called my mom telling her that I'll be staying here tonight."
said Cecilia
"Good. Let’s finish our homework first okay?” asked Theresa
“Yea, I want to get all my homework done before doing anything else.” Agreed Vicki
The three girls were done after 1 ½ hours of homework.
“Come on Cecilia, sit here.” Said Vicki gesturing for Cecilia to sit down next to her on the carpet.
“You first have to promise us not to tell anyone this.” Said Theresa “We promised Alec not to tell anyone.”
“I promise.” Said Cecilia
“Okay, since you just moved here two years ago, you dunno anything about Daniel’s past.” Said Vicki
“He was in a serious relationship about four years ago, with this girl named Jolin.” Said Theresa
“What happened to her? How come I dun see her around?” asked Cecilia getting very curious.
“She died.” Said Vicki sadly “She was a very good friend of ours.”
“How?” asked Cecilia feeling bad for Jolin
“Jolin was born with heart problems. She is a very sweet and pretty girl. She is quiet, just like you, so it took Daniel a long time to finally get her to be his girlfriend. Of course he knows about Jolin’s heart problem before asking her. He was there for Jolin during all the hard times. But about four years ago, she died of a major heart attack. Ever since then, Daniel changed. He is no longer happy, he doesn’t smile or cry anymore, in another word, he has no emotions. He changed into a Daniel that you know today.” Explained Theresa who was wiping her wet eyes with a tissue.
Vicki, who was also very sad, said “Daniel doesn’t deserve this, Jolin didn’t deserve it.”
“No one deserves this.” Said Cecilia sadly “But its fate.”
“You believe in fate?” asked Theresa looking up at Cecilia
“Yes I do.” Answered Ceci
“You know, you have a lot in common with Jolin.” Said Vicki also looking at Cecilia
“Why do you say so?” asked Cecilia
“Because that’s what Jolin said.” Said Theresa
~ Flash back ~
“Jolin, aren’t you sad that you are always struggling with heart problems?” asked Vicki
“Yea, we never saw you sad because of your heart before.” Said Theresa
“I believe it’s fate, that I’m born with heart problems.” Said Jolin “Dun worry guys, I’ll be fine.”
~ End of Flash back ~
“But she wasn’t fine, she died.” Said Vicki recalling both the wonderful and sad times that they had together.
“Guys, I know that Jolin means a lot to you. But everything past, let’s move on. What happened in the past can not be changed.” Comforted Cecilia “I’m sure Jolin doesn’t want to see you guys like this up in heaven. I’m sure she is in a better place now.”
“Really?” asked Theresa
“I’m sure she is.” Said Cecilia smiling at her best friends.
“Cecilia, your so sweet.” Said Vicki before falling asleep with her head on Cecilia’s laps.
“Vicki, she never change. Always fall asleep after she cries.” Said Theresa smiling at her sister’s innocent face. “Let’s get her up to her room.”
“Dun worry about it, I’ve got nothing to do anyway. Let her sleep here a while longer. Go do whatever you want, I’ll just stay here.” Reassured Cecilia
“Thanks, I’m gonna go and take a bath now.” Said Theresa before heading out of the living room.
‘Daniel had been through a lot.’ Thought Cecilia
At night, Vicki and Theresa were sleeping in their rooms. But Cecilia, she was lying on her bed, starring outside of her window, at the dark sky. Thinking…… thinking about Daniel’s past.
“Jolin.” Said Cecilia to the sky “If you can hear me, please change Daniel back to his old self again. I’m sure you don’t want to see him this way……”
That was the last thing Cecilia said before falling into a deep sleep.
"Morning Ceci." said Vicki rubbing her big eyes before yawning. "I dun wanna go to school!"
"Stop pouting, you could sleep after school." said Cecilia laughing at Vicki's childish act.
"Hey! Here comes the big baby." said Cecilia as Theresa walk in Cecilia's room. (note: since Vicki and Theresa lives by themselves in a huge house, they reserved a guest room just for Cecilia.)
"Did you sleep well last night?" asked Theresa
"Yep." said Cecilia "A lot better without Nick's snoring."
"Oh....." said Vicki and Theresa with their eyes closed.
"Both of you, come on, get up." said Cecilia "We are gonna be late if you guys keep on acting like this. How can you two manage to get to school on time everyday?"
"By not eating breakfast." answered Vicki proudly.
"That is just SO healthy!" said Cecilia with sarcasm.
"Stop acting like our mom." said Theresa "We only do that some times, and plus, we eat a lot of lunch."
"Very true." said Cecilia "now get up!"
"Yes mommy" said Vicki and Theresa in unison.
"Good girls." said Cecilia while straighten up her bed.
At school:
"Hi Vicki!" greeted Ruby as she pass by Vicki.
"Hi!" responded Vicki
"Hey beauty." said a guy named Kevin, putting his arms around Theresa's shoulder.
"Get off me before I punch your lights out!" Threatened Theresa with a angry stare.
Kevin just walked away since he got experience with Theresa before.
"Asshole." said Theresa angrily.
"Just ignore him." said Cecilia trying to calm Theresa down.
"Let's go to our class now." said Vicki
With that, Vicki and Cecilia dragged Theresa to their first period class.
At lunch time:
"Here comes Vicki!" exclaimed Jimmy
"Stop looking at her!" said Alec with a annoyed face. "You won't have a chance with her."
"How da hell do you know?" asked Jimmy
"Trust me, I know. And I bet that she likes me." said Alec proudly.
"Fine! Ask her to the valentines dance and if she says yes, I'll be your servant for two months." said Jimmy "But if you lose, you'll be my servant for two months."
"But I dun like her!" cried Alec
"Well, you bet that she likes you. Gotta prove it." said Jimmy cheekily.
"Ya noe what? Fine. Just wait to be my servant then." said Alec before heading towards Vicki's table.
"Ugh Vicki?" asked Alec getting nervous. 'What if she says no? I'll be Jimmy's servant for two months! That'd be damn embarrassing for a popular guy like me!"
"Yes Alec." said Vicki turning red since she likes him very much, but dun dare to tell anyone.
"Since the valentines dance is coming up... I was wondering, if you can go with me..." said Alec
Vicki, getting high, but managed to calm down, said "Sure."
"Thanks. I'll pick you up at five okay?" asked Alec while thinking 'Jimmy, Alec's servant.'
"Okay." said Vicki before Alec goes back to his own table.
"Oh Jimmy boy!" calling Alec "Proud to tell you that Vicki is gonna be my date for the dance tomorrow."
Jimmy's jaws dropped right open hearing what Alec said. 'ugh o' he thought.
"Dun worry, I didn't think of anything for you to do YET." said Alec
'THANK GOD!' thought Jimmy, but instead, he said "Okay."
While all these were going on, Cecilia was watching Daniel eating his lunch with a bunch of girls around him, each trying to get his attention. But all Daniel did was eating his lunch and ignoring the girls.
"Hey wanna go shopping today?" asked Theresa
"Sure." answered Vicki
"How about you Ceci?" asked Theresa
Seeing Cecilia looking at Daniel again, Vicki pinched Cecilia's wrist.
"Ouch!" cried Cecilia "What was that for?"
"To get your attention off of Daniel of course." said Theresa
"Sorry guys, and you were saying..." said Cecilia
"Wanna go shopping after school?" repeated Theresa "You noe, to get a dress for the dance tomorrow?"
"No, its okay. I just bought a black one and didn't wear it yet." said Ceci
"Okay then." said Vicki "Want us to drop you off at your house?"
"Nah, my car is still at the school parking lot since I didn't drive it to your house yesterday." said Cecilia
"Careful then." said Theresa
After school:
Vicki and Theresa went to the mall and Cecilia walked out the school just when
it start raining very hard.
"Ugh!" said Cecilia
Running to her BMW while trying to dig out her car keys from her purse. Suddenly she stopped. "Damn it! I left my keys in Vicki's house!"
Standing there, deciding on what to do, a person walked behind her putting an umbrella over her head.
Feeling no more rain purring down on her, Cecilia turned around abruptly before her eyes set on Daniel's handsome face.
"Sorry." apologized Cecilia realizing that their faces are just about a inch apart.
"I was just looking for my keys." said Cecilia noticing that Daniel is talking to her without any emotions.
"And...." said Daniel waiting for Ceci to continue.
"I remembered that I left them at my friends' house." explained Cecilia, feeling sorta stupid.
"I see." said Daniel "I could drive you home."
"Really?" asked Cecilia
Seeing Daniel nod his head, Cecilia smiled and said "Thanks." But at the same time, she noticed that Daniel's face didn't change at all, blank as ever.
After Cecilia told Daniel her address, Daniel's red sports car was in complete silence. Cecilia was too quiet to talk to Daniel, and plus, she thought Daniel didn't want to talk to her anyway.
Daniel on the other hand, was feeling weird. This is the second time that he is driving at girl home, he was expecting the girl to be blabbing non stop. However, Cecilia is different, she is just, so quiet.... Just like Jolin.
Decided to break the ice, Daniel said "So, what's your name?"
"Cecilia." said Ceci.
"Ooo..." said Daniel "I'm Daniel."
"I know that already." said Cecilia
"Really? How?" asked Daniel sounding like a dead person.
"You ARE popular." said Cecilia
"O." said Daniel before the car quiets down again.
After five more minutes, Daniel asked "Is this your house?"
"Yea, thanks." said Cecilia giving him a smile, which he did not return.
"Welcome, bye." said Daniel before driving off.
Cecilia didn't go back to her house right away. She just stood there, thinking about how Daniel was acting. Finally realized that she is completely wet when she sneezed. Running back to her house, she thought 'I hope Nick is home, or else, how am I gonna get in?'
After ringing the door bell, Cecilia silently prayed that Nick will be home. Luckily, Nick opened the door.
"What happened sis?" asked Nicholas seeing Cecilia dripping wet.
"I forgot my keys at Vicki's house." said Cecilia before sneezing again.
"Tell me you didn't walk home." said Nicholas
"Nah, someone drove me home." said Cecilia going straight to the bathroom for a shower.
"Vicki? Theresa?" asked Nicholas being a protective brother.
Not wanting Nicholas know about Daniel, Cecilia lied "Yea."

At the mall:
"Who are you going with Terry?" asked Vicki
(note: Terry is Theresa's nickname, she only allowed Vicki to call her that.)
"Jimmy asked me after lunch." said Theresa
"Oh." said Vicki picking up a long silver tube dress. "What do you think of this?"
"Wow, my sister got some taste." said Theresa "So pretty!"
"It's 100% silk too." said Vicki touching the fabric.
After trying on the dress, which fit Vicki perfectly, Vicki decided to get it.
Theresa, on the other hand, bought a black spaghetti dress. It was made out of silk, like Vicki's dress.
Vicki dropped herself on the sofa right after she got home. Something on the glass table caught Vicki's attention.
"Cecilia forgot her keys!" exclaimed Vicki
"I'm gonna call her house to see if she got home alright?" said Theresa before dialing a bunch of numbers.
"Hello?" said a person on the other end of the phone line.
"Nicholas?" asked Theresa
"Yep, hi Theresa." said Nicholas
"Is Cecilia home?" asked Theresa
"Yep, she forgot her keys at your house." said Nicholas "And she said that Vicki drove her home....."
Knowing that something is not right, Theresa decided to ask Cecilia about it tomorrow.
"Right, Vicki and I drove her home before going to the mall..." lied Theresa
"Okay....." said Nicholas
"C y then." said Theresa
"Bye." said Nicholas putting down the phone.
"What happened?" asked Vicki seeing Theresa's confused face.
"Cecilia is home alright. But she told Nicholas that YOU drove her home." said Theresa
"WHAT?!" asked Vicki
"I dunno, let's just ask her tomorrow." said Theresa "Gotta do homework now."
"Ugh, who invented homework anyway?" asked Vicki "That person must have no life."
"Yea." agreed Theresa who was pretty tired from shopping.

The next day:
"Cecilia, you got some explaining to do." said Vicki seeing Cecilia
walking to them.
"What?" asked Cecilia
"I called you yesterday cuz Vicki found out that you left your keys at our house." started Theresa "But Nick said that you told him Vicki drove you home."
"Ugh..." said Cecilia "Promise not to tell anyone okay?"
"Fine." replied Vicki and Theresa.
"Daniel drove me home." said Cecilia
"WHAT!" exclaimed Vicki surprisingly.
"Shut up." said Cecilia seeing people turning their heads at them. "This is what happened......."
After Cecilia told them, Theresa goes "Ooo..."
"So THAT'S what happened." said Vicki finally understanding everything, since Cecilia was talking, so fast.
"So who are you going to the dance with?" asked Theresa changing the topic.
"I'm not going." answered Cecilia
"But, why not?" asked Vicki
"No one asked me." said Cecilia sadly.
"That's cuz you too damn quiet." scolded Theresa.
"Dun worry about me. Just go and enjoy." said Cecilia before turning to Vicki so she could tease her, "So, how does it feel to go to the dance with your long time crush?"
"Cecilia......" said Vicki
"Just kidding." said Cecilia smiling. "Come on, let's go to class now."

That night:
After hearing the door bell, Theresa opened the door for Alec to come in.
"WOW!" said Alec seeing Vicki walking down the stares.
Blushing, Vicki said "I'm really, let's go."
To stunned to talk, Alec nodded his head.
"When is Jimmy gonna be here?" asked Vicki
"He just called to tell me that he'll be here in five minutes." said Theresa "I'll see you there. And Alec, drive safely. Just remember, Theresa is gonna kill you if anything happens to my sister."
"Yes madam!" joked Alec "See ya."
Jimmy on the other hand always liked Vicki. He likes how Vicki always acts like herself, how she actually wear NORMAL cloth, meaning cloths that could actually cover her. Also the fact that Vicki barely wear any make up. He hates those girls that always look like they are going to some Halloween party, and always look like they're too poor to afford clothes to cover themselves. But tonight, he got this weird feeling when he's with Theresa. He feels so good around her. The more they talk, the more Jimmy like her. He thought Theresa and Vicki have a lot of things in common. (Duh! They're sisters!) Theresa is just as sweet as Vicki, except when she's around those people that she hate, for example, Kevin. She is pretty as Vicki, cute as Vicki, almost the same personality.
So Jimmy finally made up his mind, he thought, 'Since I dun think I'll ever have a chance with Vicki, why not go for Theresa? She fits me more than Vicki.'
"Alec?!" asked Vicki standing in front of Alec, in his arms.
While Vicki was trying her best to get Alec's attention, Alec was busying thinking about Vicki.
'She is so sweet, cute, pretty, and..... she actually act like herself.' thought Alec 'Why didn't I think of her before? She is such a nice girl. I guess I didn't really pay any attention to her.'
"ALEC SU!!" screamed Vicki into Alec's ear finally waking him up.
"Ah!" cried Alec "What happened?"
"I was calling you for the past five minutes." explained Vicki "That song ended a long time ago. It's a fast song now, but you just stood here, dancing with the slow song."
"My bad." said Alec feeling like a lunatic. "Let's get some punch now."
"Yea sure." said Vicki with Alec's hand around her waist.
After getting some punch, Alec and Vicki walked over to Theresa and Jimmy, who wwere busying persuading Daniel to dance.
Daniel was sitting by himself drinking punch through the whole dance so far. Tons of girls asked him to dance, but he turned everyone of them down. He was pretty annoyed by how the girls keep on interrupting his thoughts. He was thinking about Cecilia.
'How come being with Cecilia in the car the other day, feels so familiar? I had the same feeling when I was with Jolin...... Cecilia and Jolin, they are both quiet, pretty, and.... so similar.' thought Daniel
"Daniel, I'm begging you, just go and have some fun!" pleaded Jimmy "One dance won't hurt."
"I know that." said Daniel "Except that no one wants to dance with a girl that talks non stop."
"Well, that's true." said Alec. After thinking for a minute, he unwillingly said "If you wanna dance with Vicki, I guess... you could, if Vicki agrees."
Understanding Alec, Daniel said "It's okay. I could just hear the unwillingness just by the way that you talk. You could have her all by yourself."
Vicki was blushing while Alec signed of relief.
"I think I'm gonna go out for a few minutes." said Daniel
"But.." said Theresa and Jimmy
"Dun worry, I'll be back for the dance." said Daniel
"Careful then." said Vicki
"And come back soon." said Alec
"C ya." said Daniel before heading out the door.
After Daniel got out of the ballroom, he headed straight to his car... to Cecilia's house.
"I wonder where he went." said Vicki
"Dun worry, I'm sure he'll be fine." said Alec "Tonight, your mine."
Blushing furiously, Vicki hide her face in Alec's chest.
"Can I have this dance?" asked Jimmy acting like a gentleman.
"Sure." replied Theresa. Laughing, she said "You had a lot of dances tonight." (Did that make sense?!)
"Of course I did. Never met a better dancer than you." joked Jimmy as he took Theresa's hand once again.
At Cecilia's house:
'ding dong'
"Nick, get the door!" called Cecilia from upstairs.
"Can I help you?" asked Nicholas looking at the guy in front of him, dressing neatly.
"Is Cecilia home?" asked Daniel, since he didn't see Cecilia at the dance.
"Hold on, let me call her." said Nicholas "Come in."
"Sis!" called Nicholas "There is a guy looking for you!"
Walking down the stairs, Cecilia exclaimed "Daniel!"
"Hi." said Daniel, no emotion.
"What are you doing here?" asked Cecilia "You should be at the dance."
"I was." started Daniel "But... I didn't want to dance with anyone, so.. I wanna ask you if you want to go to the dance with me."
"Sure." said Cecilia "Just wait for a few minutes so I could get ready."
"Okay." said Daniel
After Cecilia went back to her room to change. Nicholas walked up to Daniel, giving him a drink.
"Thanks." said Daniel with a blank face.
"Dun you have any emotions?" asked Nicholas "No offense, but ever since you walked in, you always had a blank face on."
"I don't know." said Daniel "I have always been like this, ever since..... a long time ago."
Seeing Daniel not wanting to talk anymore, Nicholas said, "Well, I'll leave you alone now. C ya."
Five minutes later, Cecilia walked back to the living room. Wearing a long black dress, with laces in the back, revealing a lil of her back with matching shoes and purse.
"I'm ready." said Cecilia. Feeling sorta sad because Daniel didn't show any reactions seeing her.
"Let's go." said Daniel
In the car:
"Thanks for coming with me." said Daniel concentrating on the road.
"Welcome." said Cecilia observing for any emotion changes on Daniel's face.
Seeing Cecilia didn't talk anymore, Daniel said, "I didn't want to dance with any girl that talks non stop."
"I understand." said Cecilia
"Why are you so quiet?" asked Daniel
"I dunno, I have always been like this." replied Cecilia
"I see." said Daniel
Daniel, being a gentleman, without any emotion, opened the car door for Cecilia.
Smiling, Cecilia said "Thanks."
"Ready to go in?" asked Daniel holding out his arm.
"Yep." said Cecilia as she put her arm around Daniel's arm.
Almost everyone gasped as Daniel and Cecilia walked in, Vicki and Theresa stood there, stunned.
"I'm I seeing things right?" asked Vicki, just to make sure.
"If you see Cecilia, walking in with Daniel, then I think your eyes are fine." said Theresa "Unless I need glasses."
"Hi guys." greeted Cecilia while walking with Daniel. By this time Daniel's hand was around Cecilia's slim waist.
"Oh lord." said Vicki
"I thought you weren't gonna come?" asked Theresa
"Daniel came to my house and asked me to come." explained Cecilia
"Ooo..." said Vicki and Theresa in unison.
"I see you got yourself a girl tonight." teased Alec
"Yea.." said Daniel as he walked onto the dance floor with Cecilia.
"Did you ever see his face change before?" asked Jimmy
"Nah." answered Alec "I doubt it. Or else I would of remembered it, clearly."
"Oh well, let's go dancing." said Jimmy to Theresa.
After Theresa and Jimmy went on the dance floor again, Alec asked Vicki "Wanna go?"
"Sure." answered Vicki.
Theresa and Jimmy developed deep feelings for each other and decided to try and work out a relationship. For the past few months, their relationship is great as ever!
Daniel and Cecilia....
Daniel still didn't change one bit, which made Cecilia pretty sad. However, them
two started to hang out more and more. Always going to dances and parties
together, looking like a couple.
One day:
"May I speak to Alec's girl please." joked Alec on the other side of the phone.
"Hold on Alec." said Theresa "VICKI!"
"Yea?" asked Vicki
"There is a guy on the phone wanting to talk to Alec's girl." said Theresa
"Hello Alec." said Vicki knowing that its Alec. Well of course, its quit obvious.
"Sups Vic." asked Alec
"Nothing, just trying not to move so I won't sweat in these humid summer days." said Vicki "The air conditioner pisses me off!"
"Aw, poor baby." teased Alec "Well, I know something that could cheer you up."
"What is it?" asked Vicki sounding like a five year old.
"Picnic on the beach?" suggested Alec "You, me, Theresa, Jimmy, Daniel and Cecilia."
"GREAT IDEA!" Commented Vicki
"Great, call Cecilia and tell that to meet at the beach in an hour." said Alec "Me, Jimmy and Daniel will be buying the stuff."
"Sure, bye hun." said Vicki before hanging up the phone and yelled "THERESA! WE ARE GOING TO THE BEACH WITH CECILIA AND THE GUYS!"
"Calm down." said Theresa "I'm gonna do deaf before thirty!"
"Sorry sis." apologized Vicki
"Nah, its okay." said Theresa "Get ready."
"I know, first I have to call Cecilia." said Vicki before dialing a bunch of numbers.
After hanging up the phone, Vicki said "Cecilia is going too!"
"Good, now get your stuff done. We only have half an hour left." reminded Theresa
Vicki, Theresa arrived at the beach at the same time Cecilia did. The three girls look as beautiful and cool as ever!
Vicki was wearing her sexy and not to mention, revealing black swimsuit under a pair of short shorts with a clear wind breaker on the top.
Theresa was wearing a white, two piece swimsuit under a white t shirt and a skirt. (You know, those skirts that girls wear outside of their swimsuits? I dunno what they are called.)
Cecilia on the other hand, was wearing her silver two piece swimsuit under a shorts overall.
The girls were setting up the big umbrellas, so they could sit under a shady area later.
Five minutes after the girl finish setting up, the guys came. Each wearing a black shirt. Alec was wearing a pair of khaki shorts over his black swim shorts (Dun mind me, I dun like to call them swimsuits since its only shorts for guys).
Jimmy was wearing blue shorts with gray swimsuit underneath it and Daniel was wearing white shorts with blue swimsuits under it.
"Great, you guys are here." said Vicki happily "I'm starving!"
"Me too." said Theresa
"We bought cold sandwiches, juice and sodas, and some chips." reported Jimmy "Its that alright?"
"Of course." replied Theresa "Dig in!"
With that, everyone started eating.
Awhile after finishing their food, the guys set up a volleyball net.
"Volleyball?" asked Jimmy
"Yea, sure." answered Daniel
"Sure." said everyone else.
They weren't play a real game. The team was set up with Vicki, Alec and Theresa on for one, and the other team includes Daniel, Jimmy and Cecilia.
They were having so much fun playing volleyball and joking around with each other at the same time. Except Daniel, who just played.
"Ah!" cried Cecilia as she slipped on the sand. Luckily, Daniel caught her right on time causing them to look into each other's eyes. Breaking apart, Cecilia shyly said "Thanks."
"Its okay." said Daniel "Careful next time."
"You alright?" asked a concerned Theresa.
"Yep." replied Cecilia
"Let's play some more!" shouted Jimmy
After everyone was tired of playing volleyball, everyone did what ever they wanted, separately.
Jimmy and Theresa, being the active ones, were fooling around in the water, splashing water on each other.
Vicki and Alec cuddled together under the shades enjoying the summer day.
Daniel and Cecilia, they kept their distant, but mean while, they were chatting. Daniel is still talking with no emotions. But Cecilia didn't mind, as long as Daniel is talking to her, she's happy.
While everyone was getting ready to watch the movie, Alec said "Jimmy, come to the kitchen for a sec?"
"Sure." said Jimmy
Getting into the kitchen, Alec asked "Can you pick my sister up at the airport tomorrow?"
"I can't, got a date with Theresa." said Jimmy
"the bet..." said Alec grinning
"But two months past!" whined Jimmy
"No no, you didn't do anything yet." said Alec "What I meant was that the two months servant thing, starts with your first task."
"Fine." said Jimmy "You know, you should be thanking me instead of me being your servant."
"Why?" asked Alec cheekily
"Well, if I didn't make the bet with you, you wouldn't of took Vicki to the dance. And if you didn't take Vicki to the dance, you would of never had the chance with her."
"Yea but..." said Alec, but stopped when he saw Vicki standing in back of Jimmy, with tears.
"Vicki! What are you doing here?" asked a surprised Jimmy turning around to face Vicki.
"I was.. just getting.. a drink." said Vicki while crying.
"Vicki, let me explain." said Alec before feeling a slap on his cheek.
"You jerk!" cried Vicki before running out of Daniel's house, with Alec chasing her behind.
"What happened?" asked Theresa coming into the kitchen with Daniel and Cecilia walking behind.
"I ugh......" said Jimmy, then started telling everyone the whole story.
After Jimmy told them everyone, Cecilia and Theresa was fuming mad.
"People, its not the time to be mad." said Daniel "Can't we look for Vicki first?"
"You better pray for your safety Jimmy." said Theresa "Better hope that Vicki is home by now."
"yea." agreed Cecilia "Let's go guys."
However, when they got to Theresa's house, they didn't find Vicki. Instead, they found Alec sitting in front of their house with his face in his hands.
"Where is my sister?" asked Theresa angrily.
"I didn't find her." said Alec quietly "I thought she came home."
"Well, you know what?" asked Theresa "She is NOT home!"
Alec just sat there, quiet as ever.
Suddenly, a thought came to Daniel. 'The Pond!' thought Daniel before saying, "Ugh guys. I've got to go somewhere. Its really important. Call my call as soon as you find Vicki alright?"
"Sure, just go." said Cecilia
After Daniel left, Jimmy, Theresa and Cecilia went into the house, ignoring Alec. But before Theresa actually walk INto the house, she walked back to Alec and gave him the hardest punch on the nose.
Actually, before Jolin died, Daniel and Vicki always hang out at the pond, alone. Daniel and Vicki are close as brothers and sisters, not including Theresa for some reason. But, after Jolin died, Daniel changed into what he is today. So his friendship with Vicki grow apart. But knowing that Vicki goes there whenever she feels down, Daniel headed straight to The Pond.
Just as he expected, Vicki was sitting at their special tree, looking into the water.
Feeling someone behind her, Vicki turned around, surprised to see Daniel.
"You remembered this place?" asked Vicki sadly.
"Yea." answered Daniel as he took a seat next to Vicki.
After a few quiet minutes, Daniel asked "Are you going back home?"
"I don't know." replied Vicki, still starring at the water. "Alec might be there."
"Wanna stay over?" asked Daniel.
"Can I?" asked Vicki
"Of course." said Daniel "Do you want to talk about it?"
Vicki sat there, in total silence, before saying "I feel cheap."
"What?" asked Daniel, confused.
"He only went out with me because of some stupid bet." said Vicki "I feel like I'm only worth a bet."
"That's not true." said Daniel
"Its not?" asked Vicki
"No! Alec might asked you to the dance because of the bet, but he didn't continue going out with you because of it." said Daniel "If its only because of the bet, then why did he ask you to be his girl AFTER the dance? That's because he truly love you!"
"Really?" asked Vicki, feeling much better.
"Yep." said Daniel
"Thanks for making me feel better." said Vicki lying on Daniel's chest, but still starring at the water. (weird huh?)
"Can you be my brother?" asked Vicki "I feel secure when I'm with you. Something both Theresa and Alec can't give me. Anyway, I always wanted a big brother."
"Of course." said Daniel
"Thanks." said Vicki, finally smiled. Then fell asleep since she is tired after crying. (remember? It's Vicki's habit to sleep after she cries. *grin*)
"Ugh!" said Daniel as he carried Vicki up to the guest room of his house.
Vicki somehow didn't wake up from all those movements. Before Daniel was walking out the guest room, Vicki asked in her sleep "Daniel, why don't you have any emotions?"
Daniel was about to answer her when he realized that Vicki is still sleeping.
He called Theresa after settling down Vicki, he told her not to worry since Vicki is at his house, and he'll drive her back tomorrow.
The next day:
"Vicki!" exclaimed Theresa
Vicki just smiled a lil since she is still pretty sad about Alec.
"Vicki, cheer up." said Cecilia "Its gonna be your birthday in a week!"
"Yea." said Jimmy before Vicki gave me a angry stare.
"Sorry." said Jimmy knowing that Vicki is pissed at him because of the bet.
"I wanna be alone in my room." said Vicki before going up to her room.
"Where's Alec?" asked Daniel after Vicki is out of the ear shot.
"He finally went home this morning." said Cecilia "He sat outside for the whole night."
Suddenly, a voice came into his head, it was Vicki's. "Why dun you have any emotions?" asked the voice.
~ Flash back ~
Jolin was sitting on the grass, enjoying the beautiful view in front of her.
Just then, Daniel scared her with his face. Daniel had his eyes crossed, sticked
up his nose with a open wide mouth.
"Ah!" cried Jolin "My boyfriend is a monster!"
"Will you still love me if I were ugly as a monster?" joked Daniel, but Jolin took it seriously, and said "Of course I would."
"Good." said Daniel "Or else....."
"Or else what?" asked Jolin cheekily.
"This!" said Daniel was he got up and started tickling Jolin.
"Ah!" yelled Jolin when Daniel picked her up and throw her up in the air, and caught her again. "Surrender!"
Still holding Jolin up, Daniel said "I'll love you forever..." before pressing his lips against hers.
~ End of flash back ~
'I guess all my emotions went with Jolin' thought Daniel sadly.
"I'm gonna buy the biggest picture of Leon Lai (Vicki's long time idol) for Vicki's birthday." said Jimmy "As a bday present..... and a sorry gift."
"Aw." said Cecilia "Dun worry about it."
"It's my fault, cause I made the bet." said Jimmy
"She'll forgive you." said Theresa
"I hope so." said Jimmy "Gotta go and look for the picture now."

On the day of Vicki's birthday:
'ding dong'
"Daniel!" cried Theresa "Can you get the door?"
"Yea." said Daniel
Opening the door, Daniel saw a guy trying to stand while bunches of pink roses. "Can I help you?"
"Is there a Vicki Zhao here?" asked the guy.
"Yes." said Daniel "I'll give it to her."
"Thanks." said the guy before handing the roses to Daniel.
"Vicki!" called Daniel "Roses for you!"
"Wow!" exclaimed Vicki "THIS much roses?"
"Yep." said Daniel "Here is a card too."
"Okay." said Vicki getting the flowers from Daniel's hand.
Opening up the card, it says:
Dear Vicki,
I am really sorry that I lied to you. But the truth is that I really DID ask you
to the dance because of the bet. However, asking you to be my girl is NOT
because of the bet. It's because I truly love you, I wish that you'll forgive
me. I hope you liked the one hundred pink roses that I sent to you because I
remembered that it's your favorite flower. As you will see, there is a card on
every one of the rose. 98 of them say 'I'm sorry', 1 of them says 'Happy
Birthday', and you'll find out what the last one says. If you forgive me, please
come out to your back yard......
Alec
Vicki was sobbing after reading the letter. Looking through the pink roses, Vicki DID find 98 roses that says 'I'm sorry', another one saying 'Happy Birthday', and the last one says..... 'I LOVE YOU'
Running toward her back yard, Vicki gasped. She saw Alec, on his knees, which are bleeding.
Bending down, Vicki threw her arms around Alec's neck.
"I'm sorry." whispered Alec "Will you forgive me?"
Letting Alec go, she nodded.
"How long have you been here?" asked Vicki as she helped Alec up.
"It doesn't matter." said Alec "As long as you forgive me."
Seeing Alec's bleeding knees, Vicki's eyes got filled up with tears once again.
"I stayed in your back yard cuz, Theresa will tell me to leave if she sees me at the front door." explained Alec as he sat down on the sofa.
"You didn't have to do this." said Vicki, heart broken to see Alec's this way.
"I wanted to." said Alec while Vicki was fixing up his wounded knees "So you'll believe me."
"What happened to your knees?" asked Theresa walking into the living room.
"Nothing." said Alec "Are you still pissed at me?"
"Since Vicki already forgive, then, I will too." said Theresa "I mean, ALL THOSE ROSES!"

Everyone was having lotsa fun at the party. A lot of people came, including
Ruby, Nicholas and some other friends of Vicki. All of Vicki's cousin's came
too. Only one person wasn't there, Jimmy.
When everyone was getting ready to leave, Jimmy rushed in the house with a big picture frame.
"Vicki!" cried Jimmy while trying to breath normally.
"What?" asked Vicki as she made her way out of the crowd.
"This... is..... for.. for you." said Jimmy
Opening the huge bag, Vicki cried "Leon!"
"That's the biggest one I could find." said Jimmy, finally calming down.
"Ah!" said Vicki "Thank you!"
"Happy Birthday." said Jimmy
Running to give Jimmy a big hug, Vicki asked "Why do you act like you just ran a marathon?"
"I think I just did." said Jimmy "My car broke down, so I had to run here."
With that, everyone cracked up.
"What da hell are you people laughing at?" asked Jimmy with a mad face.
"Ever heard something called a taxi?" asked Nicholas, still laughing, hard.
"Ugh.." said Jimmy, feeling stupid. "I wasn't thinking okay? I just wanted to give this to Vicki as fast as possible. Oh yea, Vicki, I'm sorry about the bet."
"Dun worry about it." said Vicki "I'm not mad anymore."
"THANK GOD!" cried Jimmy
Once again, everyone laughed, except Daniel. Who was really drunk.....
He liked the way she does everything. Daniel just thought that the only reason he start liking Cecilia is because she reminds him of Jolin, but lil did he know, he started loving Cecilia already.
"Daniel you're drunk!" said Vicki "You can't drive home like this."
"Dun... worry." said Daniel "I'll be fine."
"No you won't be!" said Vicki "You can't even stand properly."
"I'll take him home." said Cecilia, who was sad to see Daniel like this.
"You sure you can manage him?" asked a worried Vicki.
"Yep." reassured Cecilia

"Daniel, stand still!" ordered Cecilia as she tried to unlock his
front door, and still have to hold on to Daniel.
"Finally!" cried Cecilia getting Daniel into the house.
Putting Daniel on the sofa (well, actually, Daniel just dropped down), Cecilia took some warm towel and wiped Daniel's forehead.
"Take care of yourself okay?" asked Cecilia "I'm gonna leave now."
Cecilia was walking toward the door when Daniel grabbed her wrist. Pulling her as close to him as possible, he started kissing her.
Cecilia, who is totally not expecting this, first pulled back. But since Daniel was a lot stronger than her, she gave up and kissed him back. Plus, she liked Daniel a long time ago.
Sharing kiss after kiss, they finally broke apart. Daniel, who was getting dizzy because of the alcohol, knew he was kissing Cecilia. He thought that this is probably the only time he could kiss her, when no one is around. However, since he was dizzy, he saw Jolin's image and said "Jolin?"
THAT, was a big mistake. Cecilia thought that he kissed her because he missed Jolin, feeling both hurt and mad, she gave him a strong slap before running out of the house, crying.
"Cecilia!" called Daniel "Let me explain!"
It was too late, Cecilia got hit by a car. The owner of the car came rushing out to see how Cecilia is. Daniel, who was in a bad mood, gave a hard punch to the driver before rushing Cecilia to the nearest hospital.

At the hospital:
"What happened?" asked Theresa as she ran to Daniel.
Daniel didn't answer her, he just stood there, motionless.
Half an hour later, the doctor came out. Daniel grabbed the doctor and asked "How is she?" with a worried face.
"Dun worry about it." said the doctor "It wasn't serious. Her legs were hurt but not anything life threatening. Just wait for her to wake up and all she have to do is rest."
"Thanks!" said Daniel
While Daniel and the doctor was talking, Jimmy, Theresa, Vicki and Alec just stood there. Looking at each other thinking of the same thing, 'Daniel's face changed....'
They were walking to Cecilia's room when Daniel turned around and asked "Can I have some time *alone* with her?"
"Sure.." said Alec
Daniel sat next to Cecilia's bed, holding her hand. After about forty minutes, Cecilia's hand moved.
Waking up, she saw his smiling face staring down at her. She was confused. Is this a dream? Could be, I mean, Daniel just smiled.
Seeing Cecilia's face, Daniel thought that she was still mad at him.
"I am so sorry." apologized Daniel "I know I was kissing you. I was kissing Cecilia, not Jolin."
Knowing that it wasn't a dream, Cecilia held up her hand and felt his cheek.
'He mean it.' thought Cecilia 'He smiled......'
Thinking that Cecilia is still mad at him, Daniel said "Please forgive me, give me a chance to be with you."
Totally unexpected, Cecilia smiled.
"You smiled." said Cecilia while concentration on his face. "You smiled." (Doesn't it sound familiar? Hint, in JDSJ when Vivian got poisoned by lechees....)
Realizing he really DID smile, Daniel smiled again, for Cecilia.
"Thank you." said Daniel as he sat on Cecilia's bed (he was sitting on a chair before).
"Why?" asked Cecilia
"You made me smile." said Daniel before sharing a big hug with Cecilia.
After a few moments of silence, Daniel said "Ya noe, love is a wonderful thing."
"You think so?" asked Cecilia
"Yes." said Daniel "Love kills pain."
Cecilia nodded and went back to his embrace again.
"Well well well, WHAT do we have here?" asked Theresa
"Well, I see my best friend in my brother's embrace." said Vicki with a innocent face.
"And I see my best friend, Daniel, smiling." said Alec and Jimmy in unison.
Cecilia blushed and hide her face in Daniel's chest. Daniel smiled again.
