Michael Robert Kettlewell, 12, of St. Clair Township, was called home to the Lord on Monday, Sept. 2, 2002. He was born Feb. 25, 1990, in Port Huron and was a seventh grader at Marysville Intermediate School.



Michael played Marysville Little League baseball and was a Beaton's Law third baseman. He was looking forward to beginning his first season of M.J.F.A. football this week. He studied tae kwon do, achieving an orange belt (third rank) and had also studied Gracie jiujitsu. At 11 years old, he became one of the youngest pilots to receive a license for remote aircraft and was a member of the River District R.C. Eagles Club.



He played trombone and tuba in the school band.



He loved to fish, water ski, swim, snowmobile, hunt, roller blade and to ride dirt bikes and four-wheelers.



Michael is survived by his mother, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn D. (Patrice) Lottner of St. Clair Township.; his father, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Richard (Connie M.) Kettlewell of Marysville; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert W. (Josephine M.) Thompson, Lucille Hency and Frank Bailey; his sisters and brothers, Randi, Amanda and Walter Kettlewell, Mr. and Mrs. Jeff (Stephanie) Way, Jenny Way, James and Jenelle Lottner; his godparents, Mr. and Mrs. Aleck (Mary) Galuska of Los Angeles; his aunts, Mr. and Mrs. Richard (Mary) Lund, Mr. and Mrs. Randy (Dawn) Kettlewell and Mr. and Mrs. Brad (Ronda) Johnson; his cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Dave (Jessica) Albert, Jason Thompson, Courtney Lund, Richard R. Lund, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse (Dana) Eagle and Scott and Jeremy Kettlewell; his best friends, Jonathan and Caleb; and his beloved chocolate Labrador retriever, Bailey.
