Hades
Oldest son of Rhea and Cronus, Hades drew the lot of the underwold. He is a solomn God, fair but unnerving. Unliked by the other Gods, He is allowed into Olympus, but not made very welcome. Once a mortal enters into His world, they are not allowed to leave, and take up residence in either the Elysian Fields where the faithful spent their days eating and making merry , or the Fields of Asphodel full of drudgery and boredom. Because precious metals and crops seemed to come from His land, He became associated with them, and it was He who stole the young Persphanie from Her mother, Demeter.
Because what happened after death was a mystery, Greeks feared Him, and any oath taken in His name was very carefully given. His name was feared to listen to, and was therefore given a new name: Pluto, giver of wealth.
