Hestia
Hestia is the daughter of Chronos and Rheas, and is the Greek virgin Goddess of the hearth, family, peace and "family values". Her personality has never been fully formulated, but She is regarded as being even more important than the twelve Olympians. All households had a family hearth dedicated to Her, and each new family additon was walked around the fire so She could "see" the newest member and grant him/her protection. The main public building in a given city had a perperpetual hearth dedicated to Her, from which embers were used to kindle new perpetual fires in any colonies the city founded. All sacrifices and prayers are to begin and end with Her.
Acts of hospitality were her domain along with charity and good-will. Because She was always more of a "concept", there are almost no representations of Her. Temples dedicated to Her were round, to symbolize the hearth, and all other temples had fires dedicated to Her name.
