My Questions for Religious Fundies
1. What is Noah's Wife's name? If Noah is the Father of our generation, than his wife is our mother. All Noah had to do was show up for the conception, while she had to carry the fetus to term (900 times or more), care for the kids (you don't see mention of Noah carting around a bunch of children), put her health on the line (after 10 kids max, doctors greatly begin to fear for the life of the mother, and many doctors forbid having more), go through hormonal hell (900 times and more), continue with all her regular chores and work (who cleaned the house??? Let alone with hundreds of kids!), and all so she would be forgotten? Where is HER sainthood?
2. What happens to all the people before Christ's time? Are they damned to eternal torment? Why?
3. If your god is so powerful, why didn't the Aztecs, Mayans, Cherokee etc. ever hear of Him (until the maurading Christians showed up to terrorize, murder and steal their lands)
4. After Cain supposedly killed Abel and Cain roamed the land, where did the city he stumbled upon come from?
5. Adam and Eve and then Noah and aforementioned nameless wife produced the worlds population base (which produced a very very limited genetic base). Are we then products of inbreeding?
6. This is for the groups that rely on prayer to heal and not doctors. If God produced every living being on this Earth (with people being in God's image) are you not denying God's healing ability by not going to the doctor? If God can produce rivers, plants and animals, can He not produce the intelligence necessary to save the lives of His more advanced creatures?
7. Two parter...Where did the mystical number 144,00 come from? (as in that is how many people will get into heaven). Which translation of which bible of which denomination of which century was used to come to this number? And why is God limiting Himself to only 144,00 people. Is Heaven full?
8. If we are made in God's image, justify Hitler's birth.
9. Explain why it is morally wrong to advocate birth control when it has been proven that women forced to have unwanted children have lower standards of living, lower education levels, increased health problems, and not to mention a social stigma if they are single. Does your god intentionally want women to suffer? Is it not better to wait until the child can be properly cared for and loved? Since we are all human, accidents happen, and I have no intention of celebacy with my husband, don't tell me abstinance is the answer.
10. Since my religion accepts women, children, gays and alternate religions as being equal, demand accountability for your actions and refuse to accept cultural excuses as reasons to beat and abuse family members, why are we the "evil" religion?
What makes your mysogonistic, homophobic, genocidal, blood-thirsty religion better?
11. About Noah...where did he keep the Blue, Sperm and Killer whales? How did he keep people from killing the flies? What about the polar bears? How did he regulate the temperature so they didn't die? (freezers are a modern invention)
12. Why is the fact that women are supposed to "submit" to their husbands so forcefully defended while the other part of the decree "men are to respect and protect their wives as Christ loves His church" are not only never mentioned; but, (judging by the amount of abused wives) ignored by the Church? In other words...why are abused wives who go to their ministers so often sent back to their abusive husbands without any action (legal or otherwise) being taken towards the husbands? If the church does not condone spousal abuse (like it says it does not), why don't they take any action against abusers?
13. If your religion is based on free-will, why do you threaten hell-fire and eternal torment? It sounds more like extortion to me!
