*save the whales* Stop Japanese Whaling in the Antarctic
~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~
Japan's whaling fleet is expected to leave its home port of Shimonoseki
around 6 November for Antarctic waters. Japan is pushing hard for a return
to large scale commercial whaling and is buying support from a number of
developing countries for a crucial vote at the next meeting of the
International Whaling Commission in May 2002.
Tell them "Don't Go!"

Send a message to the Japanese Ambassador that you oppose whaling and want
him to urge the Prime Minister to stop the fleet leaving this year. We will
personally deliver this message to the Japanese Consulate on your behalf.
Write to Japan's Prime Minister Koizumi now.
