Scott Foley (Ian Hall)
Julie Patzwald ( Lee Eversaw)
co-starring: Chad Donella (Will Bestor)

After the horrific and tragic death of her father in a car crash 6 months earlier, a bright, young teenager, Cayley Young (Jessica Bowmen), and her mother, (Lynda Carter) begin life in a new city and highschool.Even on her first day at a new school, she is being 'observed' by male students,in particular, wealthy highschool jock, Ian Hall (Scott Foley).

Cayley's very first friend,is a sweet, optimistic girl called Kim McKay, who first comments on her talent for fashion make-over sketches at lunchtime. Kim suggests Cayley gets involved in the school play, and since she entertains the idea of it, she does so by drawing and making the costume designs.

Cayley and Kim go to a party at the local hang-out,w here Ian Hall, as part of his secret $50 with his best friend to seduce her, introduces himself to the beautiful girl, putting on a 'kind but cool' front, intending for her to fall in love with him. Immediately, Cayley is swept away by Ian's (fake) personality, and his good looks. Ian continues to flatter her, and tell's her his relationship with his girlfriend, Lee, is over, when really, he is playing on her vulnerabilities and getting closer to winning the bet with his bestfriend, Brian.

It is science class, and Kim and Cayley are working together on a science experiment, when all of a sudden, Kim's lab partner and friend, an intelligent looking young man, sits himself next to the two girls. Chad E.Donella plays shy, sensitive and big-hearted science wiz-kid, Will Bestor, who befriends Cayley sincerely and without any cruel intentions, unlike the other boys.

Ian takes Cayley out on a date, leading her to think he wants a loving and physical relationship, and because of this, she responds and trusts his sexual advances, sleeping with him. Bingo! She falls for the trap.

The next day, word has gone already gone round school that Cayley got together with Ian, Will is a little jealous and edgy about it, as he has a slight crush on her.

Lee, Ian's girlfriend, finds out about their night together, and tells her to stay away from him. After Cayley has seen that Lee and Ian have regained their relationship yet again, she finally realizes Ian really is a 'user', like everyone has been warning her. Brian pay's him the bet money.

Also playing on Cayley's feelings, Brian tries to cheer Cayley up by taking her out to the web cafe, when this is the other half of the bet.

After Will's phone call to Cayley apologizing to her about his slight edgy behavior, he bumps into her at the web cafe, and asks if she could join him for a snack, but when he realizes she is with Brian for the night, he backs away and says goodnight to Cayley, disappointed. Brian seduces Cayley, sleeping with her, but drives off with a smurk knowing he has won the bet also. Cayley is heart-broken yet again. She has now earned herself the reputation of being the 'school slut', facing teasing everywhere she turns, except from her friends Will and Kim.

Now addicted to the male affection missing from her dead father, Kim catches Cayley in the bathroom with yet another boy, this time with Justin, Kim's crush. Kim is instantly heartbroken, and so is Will.

After staying back late at school, making the costumes, Cayley bumps into the unexpected... Ian comes back for a second round and rapes her. Lee secretly witnesses the whole crime scene.

Ian continues to make dangerous threats to Cayley by phone and on the beach, while legal action takes place. Will tries to comfort Cayley the best he knows how, encourages her to come back to school, and to always stand strong, making her feel like she is important to him, and as a unique person. After Cayley has apologized to Kim and they regain the friendship with Will, they go see the play with Cayley's taylored costumes show-cased in it, and celebrate.

Lee finally admits to Cayley, that she saw what Ian had done to her, but is hesitant about telling the police because of Ian's threats towards her. Cayley encourages her to do so, for her sake and for the sake of other girls that could be in danger.

To see justice done, Cayley and her mother find the courage and strength to endure the indignity of having details of her misguided promiscuity dragged through the court. In the end, Lee testifies against Ian, and as a result, Cayley and her mother win the court battle.
