THE PRIZES
Note: As Erato Literary Contest grows, so will the prizes awarded significantly grow, since they depend on the number of entries. Let's do a little math- if only 100 people enter into one category the prize would be $500 (20%), if 300 people join the prize would be $1500(20%). If we receive many entries, we promise we would raise the percentage in the future contests. After all, this contest is here to open the door for your literary career.
There
will be ONE GRAND WINNER for each category.

For the categories Best poetry manuscript, Best poetry CD or tape, best lyrics, Narrative poetry, Short story/prose the winner will receive $250 cash or 20% of all the entry fees combined
together for the particular category (whichever one is greater), a certificate of the winning award he/she
can present for publishers or agents, a promotion at the Erato web site and
many other sponsor sites.
For the categories Best poem and Best haiku the winner will receive 20% of all the entry fees combined
together for the particular category, a certificate of the winning award he/she
can present for publishers or agents, a promotion at the Erato web site and
many other sponsor sites.
For the category Best song the winner will receive $250 cash or 40%!!! of all the entry fees combined
together for the particular category (whichever one is greater), a certificate of the winning award he/she
can present for publishers or agents, a promotion at the Erato web site and
many other sponsor sites.
For the category Most creative the winner will receive $250 cash or 20% of all the entry fees combined
together for the particular category(whichever one is greater), an offer to help market the award-winning product!!!, a certificate of the winning award he/she
can present for publishers or agents, a promotion at the Erato web site and
many other sponsor sites. The
runner-up will receive $150 cash or 10% (except for the categories Best poem and Best haiku- the runner-up will recieve just the 10% /without the comparison to $150/)of the entry fees combined together for the particular category
(whichever one is greater), a certificate of the winning award he/she can
present for publishers or agents, a promotion at the Erato web site and many
other sponsor sites. The
other 50% of the collected fees will be paid to our most respected judges and
the final 30% will support the Erato Literary Contest for the next competition. Good
