Elvis' career began in 1954 with his first song "That's All
Right Mama". It is said that in the 23 years of Elvis' career
produced more than $40 billion dollars in record and tape sales,
motion picture grosses and concert receipts.
He had 55 gold singles and 24 gold albums during his career and
sold more than 600 million records around the world. Elvis had
more than 150 songs to appear on Billbord's Chart. One hundred and
forteen of these were in the top forty, while 40 reached the top
ten, and 18 songs hit the number one position.
Elvis has had more Top 10 singles, more consecutive Top 10
records, and more number one records than any other performer ever
has in the history of music.
In 1968, Elvis performed a television concert labeled "The 1968
Comeback Special". He dressed in black leather and had that "Bad
Boy" look. These are my favorite pictures of Elvis. I have several
of them displayed here for you.
The rest of the pictures on this page will take you out of the
very
young Elvis and into a mature Elvis of the 60's
and
early 70's. Please continue through my picture
journey of the life
of Elvis.
