Premise: Set in the Sudan of 1898,
Harry Faversham (Ledger), a British officer,
resigns his post right before a battle
rebels (the battle of Omdurman), and his fiancee'
(Hudson) and three friends give him four white
feathers as a symbol of what they perceive to be
cowardice. What they don't know is that he's
going ,undercover, and may have the chance to redeem
himself in their eyes. (Bentley plays one
of his four friends, who woos his
girlfriend while he's undercover;
Hounsou plays the tracker who guides Faversham.)
