29/06/01 Michael Jackson Makes Appearance At Hot 97 Summer Jam 2001!

Renowned hip-hop artist Jay-Z generated the loudest cheers from the crowd during the Hot 97 Summer Jam 2001 when he presented Michael Jackson as his special guest. The show took place this Thursday at the Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, New York.

"I know Michael Jackson better come from behind that (snip) curtain," Jay-Z said during his performance. When Jackson did not appear, the crowd seemed to assume that Jay-Z was merely joking. "You want me to go back and get him myself?", he asked a fan, "OK, I'm 'a go get him."

A few seconds later he shocked the crowd when he appeared on the stage with Jackson. The two posed for photographs briefly. For one photograph, Jackson did a b-boy pose with his arms folded. Jackson received a standing ovation from the audience. Jackson left the stage after saying "I love you all".

The King of Pop's new long-player 'Invincible', as dotmusic exclusively announced, is set to surface this autumn and is reportedly his best work since 'Thriller'. Jackson has incorporated hip-hop and Latin sounds into 'Invincible' according to Scottish newspaper the 'Daily Record'.
