My name is Darlene and I would like to welcome you
to my website for my grandaughter
This site is dedicated and in memory of her
Victoria was born March 22, 2002 in Phoenix Arizona,
at Good Samaritain Hospital.
We knew she was a very special baby, even
before she was born.
She was born with Down Syndrome and also
had heart problems.
The day she was born there were so many doctors
in there, ready to take her on.
Victoria weighed 6 pounds and nine ounces, and
the most beautiful baby you could imagine.
They took her to I.C.U right away and started to
put all these tubes on her
She stayed in there for ten long days,
she even spent her first Easter in the hospital.
The day we finally got to take her home was
a real blessing.
Victoria brought so much joy to everyone
who knew her
Just looking at her pretty smile and those
big blue eyes, would just
feel a room with sunshine.
Victoria had many doctor's that cared for her,
Her heart doctor, is Dr.William Peoples
He took extremely good care of her,we
thank him with the bottom of our hearts
for the love and care you gave her.
Her primary doctor was Dr. Salazar from Globe Arizona,
and he did the same for her.
With a special needs baby there is alot of needs
and my daughter Belinda and of course myself
made sure she got them.
When it came to therapy we took her,
and it's hard to imagine a baby that age would need it.
We took her to the Developmental Learing Center,
where they would show us how to work with her.
She especially loved the lighted objects and
the ones that made noise.
She would laugh and smile, and the therapist
that worked with her the most was Veronica Philpot
She loved Victoria dearly and would even
do home therapy with her
We thank her very much for her care of Victoria
There is so many people that loved her
We knew she had to have open heart surgery
they where just waiting for her to turn a year old
and gain some more weight.
Well we celebrated her first Birthday March 22, 2003
and the same day we had her Baptised
What a Blessing that was and she looked so beautiful.
Her heart surgery was scheduled for April 23, 2003, and
Victoria passed away Easter Sunday April 20, 2003
Maybe God knew she wasn't gonna make the surgery
or having to face the decision to
take her off life support.
Whatever the reason we know our precious Victoria
isn't sick anymore and she has a new heart
We know our Angel is watching over us
I love you Victoria,
