This is the 3rd in a series of 5 albums The Strangers would release.
"Getting To Know The Strangers" has a very 'tongue-in-cheek' feeling overall. Here we have Bobby Wayne doing vocals on a few tracks. Hearing Merle's band without him doing the crooning seems so out of place. The Strangers have a distinctive style of playing, so you certainly know it's them performing.
Biff Adam's drum solo "Scramble" is certainly worth the price of admission alone. Roy Nichols shines as bright as ever.
This in an overall decent listen, but let's leave the singing to Merle :)
