Chapter One-The Reality of a True Friendship
Chime, chime, chime clanged the small bird-shaped chimes from outside a small window of a cottage like home. The outside was colored white, and the door stained brown (and adorned with many small signs saying many numerous proverbs). The small chimney that shot out of the roof poured out white smoke, leaving the smell of burnt wood wafting through the air. Inside the house were three inhabitants. One; which was a stout, old, and plump lady standing in front of a stove with a frying pan in one hand and a small package of bacon in the other. In another bedroom, with many small wooden carvings strewn on the floor, was a young man, dressed in blue and white pajamas. His leg was hanging off the bed he was laying on, and his face was covered by his pillow, which was unbelievably not suffocating him.
