On 29th March, 1997, at the Cuban Hebrew Temple in Miami Beach, Elizabeth married attorney Cary Lubetsky. After 8 months the marriage fell apart and they were divorced in April 1999.
From early 2000 until her death she was the girlfriend/live in lover of Lawrence Pfhol.
ELIZABETH'S WRESTLING CAREER.
Elizabeth entered the World Wrestling Federation in May of 1985 as the manager/valet of Randy "Macho Man" Savage. After a brief hiatus in 1990 she returned for Wrestlemania seven in March of 1991, when her actions against "Sensational Queen Sherri" saw her reunited with her Macho Man. After a huge build up Randy proposed on Superstars in a cheesy to some / beautiful to others moment in which Elizabeth replied to the proposal with the enevitable " ohhhhhhhhhhh yeaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh".
When Randy and Elizabeth decided to call time on their floundering marriage in April of 1992, Elizabeth disappeared from our screens with a brief announcement in the World Wrestling Federation magazine from Randy confirming that the marriage was over.Elizabeth was absent until January 23rd 1996 when she appeared on Ted Turner's World Championship Wrestling programs. At first appearing to make life hell for her on AND off screen ex-husband, they eventually teamed up in the new world order to cause havoc and mayhem before Elizabeth left his side once again to join forces with Lex Luger. She would remain by his side both on screen and off until her death in 2003.
When World Wrestling Federation owner Vince McMahon bought out Ted Turner in 2000, Elizabeth's contract was one that wasn't renewed and she once again disappeared from our screens keeping a low profile. During the 15 years that she managed/valeted she was awarded the 1987 "Woman of the Year" Slammy Award ... the 1988 PWI Manager Of The Year 1st runner-up...1986 PWI Manager Of The Year 2nd runner-up ...Superstar Wrestlers Magazine "Best Valet" 1990 ... Readers Poll Winner WCW Magazine "Best Manager" 1999.
Easter weekend of 2003 saw the police called to the home that she shared with Lawrence "Lex Luger" Pfohl in Georgia after neighbours reported a disturbance in the garage. Pfohl was arrested after it became clear he had punched Elizabeth in the face but she refused to press charges. On May 1st 2003, Elizabeth was found unresponsive at their home, following a 911 call from Pfohl in which he said she was gurgling and when he attempted C.P.R. her chest didn't rise. Elizabeth died a short while later in hospital. During a search of the home, police found 1000 steroid tablets and arrested Pfohl - making it clear that he wasn't involved in Elizabeth's passing.
