"GRANNY'S ANGEL"

IN MEMORY
OF OUR BELOVED GRANDSON
~LEE MORRIS GOSSETT~

ON THE FIRST ANNIVERSARY OF LEE'S DEATH WE HAD A WALK IN HIS MEMORY.  THE WALK STARTED AT THE COURTHOUSE, FRANKLIN, ON THE SQUARE TO THE CEMETERY WHICH IS ALMOST A MILE.

~JUST ANOTHER DAY~

Time has stood still, this past year
The pain and grief is still so strong,
Will the hurting ever go away
Will anyone ever right this wrong?

I have not forgotten the sound of his voice
Or the feel of his great big hug,
I remember him saying, "Gosh dang, Granny"
And I remember the hole in the yard he dug.

Memories are all I have of him now
And I thank God for each and everyone,
But memories does not stop the pain I have
For the loss of my very precious grandson.

Everyone has told me that time heals
But no one told me how long it takes,
For me to stop the flow of tears
And this very painful heartache.

Time has stood still this past year
Morning and night still come,
But for me it is just another day
That would end without my grandson.

I love you and miss you, Lee
Granny
