Pauatahanui Inlet

Aside from the ratio of vowels to consonants in its name, Pauatananui Inlet is well known for its Wildlife Reserve. Parts of the estuary have been replanted and protected, making the area a haven for many coastal species.

We visited the area to look at biodiversity . . .






Here some of the girls are bonding. The others appear to be doing the bird dance. Perhaps they are trying to put the Pukekos at ease?
