Mary McQuillan is a British artist who is well-known in the United Kingdom and becoming highly regarded elsewhere in the world for her enchanting and entrancing illustrations for children's books. As well as contributing to John Foster's Oxford First Rhyming Dictionary, Mary has been the illustrator for at least eight Furry Tales books by children's author Penny Little and has illustrated several books by Kes Gray including The Get Well Soon Book: Good Wishes For Bad Times, The Get Well Soon Book: Who's Poorly Too?, Our Twitchy and Cluck O'clock, Gray's new book released in 2003. She has also illustrated Richard Waring's Fairy Tale Fox, Sandra Ann Horn's Shadowhog (Flying Foxes) and Simon Puttock's Squeaky Clean. Mary lives with her dog Bonzo in the beautiful countryside of Somerset County in South West England.
