Born in Germany of British parentage, Niki moved to the United Kingdom at the age of seven. She began her professional training in Physical Theatre at Fooltime, Britain's first circus school, and went on to specialise in trapeze in Paris, France. In 1992, she was a founder of Shiftwork Physical Theatre Company in Scotland which achieved acclaim for its highly visual work, touring the United Kingdom and to southern Africa. She went on to study Contemporary Dance at Coventry University in England and is known for her solo performances which utilise different art forms.
Canadian-born, Judy moved to Somerset County in South West England in 1981 and studied Drama at Exeter University in neighbouring Devon. Her range of experience includes Restoration Comedy at the Roborough Studio in Exeter and experimental work with Platform 4. She has devised performance pieces with Nissis Pi Theatre Company as well as directing for the National Festival of Reminiscence. Interested in the qualities shared by both Dance and Drama, Judy studied Community Dance with the Laban Guild which led to further work with the Laban International Summer School as well as a festival performance at Royal Albert Hall in London. Judy attended the 2002 Edinburgh Fringe Festival with another solo work she has directed - Su Squire's One Voice - which has been greatly received in the UK. She is a lecturer in Drama at Richard Huish College in Taunton, Somerset.
Originally from Manchester, England, Mark studied at Chethams School of Music and then at Royal Northern College of Music (both in Manchester) where he gained a diploma in Professional Performance as a Percussionist. He has performed with the BBC Philharmonic based in Manchester and has composed for the Millennium Dome in Greenwich, England; the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester and the Northern Dance Company of Leeds, Yorkshire. Currently, Mark is a freelance performer and composer in South West England, and Musician-in-Residence for Take Art! and Art For Life. He also composed the original soundtrack for Heretic.
"Worm-Hole is an exploration of many things - of naivete, devotion, faith, structure, a quest for an identity and many other things, too. It is also open to your own interpretation and ideas. Please feel free to laugh or to be moved if you wish. I hope you enjoy the performance." (Niki McCretton)
