| I have put the wing in the wing jig (nose down) and I am riveting the trailing edge piece to the rear spar and bottom wing skin using A4 rivets. Notice I am not using one of those fancy shmancy new-fangled riveters.

Bottom of the wing is complete. Flaperon brackets are also riveted at this point. I can’t yet rivet the top skin in place because I still have to install fuel tanks and strobe.

This is a
typical fuel sensor unit. You have to figure out how
much movement you will need using the enclosed chart and then measure the armature and cut off what you don’t need. I calculated that I needed an armature length of 5.6 inches.

Cork strips have been applied to the fuel bays to isolate the fuel tanks. Cork is also applied to each tank. The metal of the tanks can not touch the metal of the wing.

Fuel tanks installed. Each tank has a capacity of 15 gallons – 14.2 usable.

Holes were cut into the ribs for fuel lines and access holes were cut in the bottom of the wing for access and inspection of fuel connections.
