The Westinghouse OV-15 TuDor lumianire shown here is the only factory built HPS luminaire I have in my collection. But still it is a special luminaire, since it is a somewhat hard to find full cutoff version with the serrated flat refractor. Also note that this is a 50 watt HPS, 50 watt HPS streetlights are not used at all in PG&E territory, although 50 watters are pretty common in the New England states, and also a few here and there in Southern CA run by SCE.
Yeah, there isn't a bulb inside at the moment, but I have a few 50 watt HPS bulbs and yes this luminaire still works fine.
In this one, you can see that the ballast, capactior and ignitor are on the door itself. This is a true power door lumianire...and utilities can easily just change out the door in case the ballast or other component fails, instead of replacing the whole lumianire.
The power door might appear to be a little bit warped, but it is not...I just forgot to tighten the screws prior to taking the picture so it was just a little loose.
