Marc Kalmanson

Marc Kalmanson grew up on Goldsmith Ave. and now lives in Keystone Heights, FL. with Lincy, his wife of 7 years. The couple has three children. James (16) is finishing high school, Alex (25) is a land surveyor and Amanda (24) works for Continental Airlines as a flight dispatcher.

Marc attended the University of Texas and studied psychology and sociology. He continued his education at TWU, (Univ of Tex, in Denton) Nursing and earned an MSN as a Nurse practitioner from Florida International University.

Despite all his health education, Marc failed his military physical examination during theViet Nam era when he tried to enlist. He was subsequently drafted, but, again, failed his physical. “I guess I wasn’t meant to go,” he says.

Currently teaching at a college of Oriental Medicine in Gainesville, FL. he taught at several universities in Nursing education. “I teach Kripalu Yoga & meditation classes at our Ashram, practice alternative medicine as an advanced nurse practitioner, do therapeutic massage and rehabilitation for persons who have experienced trauma and lead an Eastern Spirituality study group.”

He is also a CEU provider for the state of Florida and holds the education chair for the State Massage Therapy Association. Marc once worked as the chief flight nurse for an air ambulance company in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and has taught altitude physiology and aeromedical transport at a local college.

He is a member of the Scholastic Nursing Society and a nationally certified Yoga teacher.

When not working and teaching, Marc enjoys gardening, woodworking and reading

Noting great pride in his family, Marc says, “the day my children were born were the happiest. Next was the day I married Lincy.”

Marc hopes to spend the rest of his days “living by example to increase the awareness of our connection with all life and our Creator and to assist the process of manifesting peace, tolerance and love for all sentient beings.” We wish him success.
