If you happen to call the New Jersey Insurance Underwriting Association and ask to speak to the Chief Financial Officer, Ted Green answers. Yes, the same Ted Green with whom you went to Weequahic. He earned his BA in Accounting at Seton Hall University and began his career at Chubb & Son and has worked in the insurance industry for over next thirty years.
Ted served in the US Air Force from 1966 to 1970 and reached the rank of Staff Sergeant. While in the service, Ted was fortunate to travel to Germany, Turkey, Greece, Italy and other ports of call.
Ted’s wife Deborah hails from Arizona. After a two-year long distance relationship, they were married in 2003 and now live in Rockaway. Deb works for MSI Physical Therapy in Chatham. Both enjoy dining out and touring the great outdoors. They routinely travel to the West Coast and recently vacationed in Kennebunkport, Maine. They also enjoy visiting casinos where Ted is reputed to be an accomplished Black Jack player (no $2 tables for him).
Ted has a beautiful teenage daughter, Alyssa, from a previous marriage whom he raises as a dutiful father. “She’s into boys, cheerleading, boys, school and boys in that order,” says Ted.
A member in good standing of the Insurance Accounting & Systems Association, Ted plans to work another ten years before retiring. He welcomes e-mail from classmates at tgreen@njiua.org.
