NWHL NEWS
Montreal 1- Quebec 1
November 9 2002
The visiting Montreal Wingstar came into the Quebec Avalanche's home rink and almost came away with the victory and a shutout. Unfortunately close only matters in Curling and Horseshoes. After taking 52 shots against the Wingstar the Avalanche's Nadeau scored with just 0:46 left in the 3rd period. Overtime settled nothing so the game ended in a tie and further solidified the tight Eastern division.

The CHA and OWHA hosted the 4 Nations Cup in Kitchener, Ontario this past week. The games were exciting to watch and showed how ALL of Women's hockey is improving. Canada ended up winning the Gold with the U.S. picking up the Silver, Finland had some revenge on the Swedish team as they took the Bronze after losing the Bronze to the Swedes in the Olympic Games. Congratulations to the organizers for holding the World class event.
