PETE SHELLEY, composer of many hits
no this guy is not the singer of the BUZZCOCKS, this PETE SHELLEY along with MARTY WILDE were the underground glam rock, and pop songwriters when compared to more commercially successful writers like CHINN / CHAPMAN,........... SHELLEY wrote ZENDA JACKS 'RUB MY TUMMY', definetly one of the best glam rock songs of the era, MARTY WILDE wrote the 'TEEN WAVE', which is probably the best 45 of the era, he also wrote songs for ALVIN STARDUST and others, and composed a GREAT pop song amongst others called 'LOVE ME LOVE MY DOG'........ see page 5 for reviews of them both, and page 15 for more info on MARTY WILDE aka ZAPPO...........
