Game Review
Hesperia Christian played their most physical match of the young season against Upland Christian (1-3) and won 74-54. It was a costly win with senior guard Lorne Barton out for several weeks with a severe ankle sprain and junior Zach Howard out for the championship match for being ejected in the game tonight. HCS played a solid game tonight, perhaps their best so far this year. They beat Upland Christian every quarter and pretty much dominated the boards. Junior Billy Hague had a great night leading all scorers with 19 points and showing leadership skills at the point. Hague shot 71% from the field. Senior Nate Glass again showed solid skills scoring 17 points. Only his free throw shooting was suspect tonight making 2/5 from the charity line. Glass, too was injured getting a big knot on his head from an errant Upland elbow. Glass is probable for starting against Apple in the championship. Scoring among all the other Patriots was well distributed making it tough to defense this team. HCS is now 3-0 and Upland Christian drops to 1-3.
