Game Review It began as other losing efforts had with HCS being beaten in the first quarter 16-8 by the VCA Lions but the Patriots pulled together and pulled out a 65-50 victory over the host team. The Patriots were led by frosh Preston Lamarca and soph Jonny Barton who had their career highs of 12 points each. Senior Nate Glass had a double double with 12 points and 10 rebounds while junior Mike Petersen provided 11 points. After another bad first quarter, HCS went on a scoring streak winning the second quarter 21-6. Throughout the game, HCS shot a phenomenal 80% from the charity line. In general, Patriot rebounding was good with 31 rebounds although they did allow the Lion's center Vincent Regalado at 6' to get far too many rebounds because of his boxing out and positioning. And again penetration by driving opponent players got far too many points because HCS cannot seem to stop such drives. HCS is now 5-8 and leaves Santa Maria 2-2.

Game Preview Hesperia Christian will meet tournament host Valley Christian Academy, Santa Maria in their final game of the tournament. HCS is presently 1-2 in the VCA Chrsitmas Tournament. HCS last met VCA Santa Maria in 2001 and lost 89-83.
