Soundwave gives Megatron a gift

A
BIRTHDAY WISH
It was his Creation Day,
or as the humans called it, 'Birthday.'
Transformers did not exchange presents on these occasions as the humans
did, nor have parties. Though the
Autobots had adopted some human customs, the Decepticons had not.
Reaching the age of Ten
Million years was not an easy feat - not in a war. He was proud of himself for reaching this
significant age and vowed to live another Ten Million and beyond.
As he stood alone in the
main control room, he reminisced over his life, good times and bad, and smiled
to himself, but couldn't shake the feeling that something was missing -
something he wanted, needed - something special, even though he didn't exactly
know what it was. He barely heard the
footsteps behind him.
"Am I disturbing you?"
Megatron almost
jumped. "Not at all,
Soundwave."
"You seemed lost in thought."
The Decepticon Leader
nodded.
"Is anything wrong?"
"No.
I'm fine."
Soundwave was not
convinced and cocked his head slightly to one side. "Megatron, I have known you too
long."
The white Decepticon smiled. "I can't hide anything from you, can I?
... The truth is I don't know what's wrong.
It's been bugging me for quite some time now. I've run numerous self diagnostics and found
nothing amiss. Everything checks out
fine."
"Physically."
Megatron nodded.
At that moment,
Thundercracker, Skywarp, Rumble, Ravage and Frenzy entered the control room.
"Uh, we hope we're not
disturbing..." Thundercracker began.
"No," Megatron said. It was a lie, but he didn't feel like
snapping at them.
The five Decepticons
approached.
"Uhh, we know it's a human custom,"
Skywarp said, "but we wanted to get you something special for your Ten
Millionth Creation Day."
Thundercracker presented
Megatron with a medium sized purple velour box, with gold trimmings and a gold
tassel.
The Decepticon Leader
smiled. "Thank you," he said,
feeling a little foolish.
He opened the box. Inside lay a 32 carat brilliant cut diamond,
about the size of a Transformers hand.
Megatron took it out of the box and examined it, light glimmering from
all its smooth facets.
"It's lovely," he said, not knowing
what else to say.
The five Decepticons
beamed.
"We bought it from the humans,"
Rumble said. "Every time we tried
to steal it, the Autobots got in the way."
Megatron failed to
suppress a short laugh. "Trust that
self righteous truck. Much
appreciated," he said, feeling a tad uncomfortable. Sentimentality was not one of his strong
points.
Sensing Megatron wanted to
be alone, the five Decepticons bid him and Soundwave farewell and left, feeling
very happy with themselves.
"I told you he'd like it," Skywarp
said, with a smile in his voice.
Megatron looked at
Soundwave. "You knew about this,
didn't you?" he asked with a smile.
Soundwave nodded. "Glad you like it."
Megatron looked again at
the gem before placing it back in its soft velour lined box. "Yes, sometimes amazes me what the
humans can do."
Another Decepticon walked
around the corner and entered the control room.
"Congratulations. I didn't think you'd make it this far."
Megatron turned, surprised
the comment was genuine with not a touch of sarcasm. Starscream, much younger than Megatron,
grudgingly admired his leader for what he had accomplished.
"May you live to celebrate your Ten
Millionth," though Megatron doubted he would, but didn't say anything to
that effect. He had no desire to get
into a bickering quarrel with the jet - and Starscream had the knack for
surprising the hell out of everyone.
This was one of those rare, as the humans say 'million dollar' moments
where he and Starscream had gotten on with each other.
"Thank you, Starscream."
Starscream smiled, then
left the two Decepticons alone.
Megatron turned to
Soundwave. "Let us go somewhere
private."
Soundwave nodded and
followed Megatron into his large private quarters. He waited until the door had shut, then
locked it with the private code which only he and Megatron knew.
"There," Megatron said. "It's not often I have time to
myself. Being a leader is tough
sometimes."
Soundwave knew Megatron
would not have admitted that to another soul and deeply respected his leader's
trust and confidence in him.
"It's my Creation Day," Megatron
said, frustrated. "I'm supposed
to be happy - Ten Million, but I'm not!" He bashed the desk with his fist.
Soundwave took his
hand. "Finding happiness and peace
and quiet time can also be tough."
Megatron nodded and gave a
small smile. Soundwave always seemed to
know the right words and meanings.
"Computer, dim
lighting to twenty-five percent," Megatron demanded. He found it more relaxing.
The two sat on the resting
ledge, what humans would call a 'bed.'
Although Transformers did not require sleep, rest was sometimes required
and often welcomed. Megatron stretched
his legs out, then back again. There was
silence for a while.
Megatron smiled. "I remember the time when we first
met."
"As do I."
"It was when I was giving a speech to a
bunch of snobby Autobots - about how Cybertron should change."
"And they all walked out on you."
Megatron nodded. "It wasn't the first time. I didn't understand why they didn't want to
listen. I felt so rejected and didn't
know how to make them understand. I
cursed myself for letting them see how vulnerable I was. I had no one to support me."
"Your mother did."
Megatron gave a
smile. "Ahh, Wilshera. She was a strange one. She did support me and as much as I hate to
admit it, comforted me when things went awry.
But she never truly understood me.
She left shortly after the war began.
I never saw her again. Maybe she
didn't approve of what I did, but it had to be done."
"Do you miss her?"
"Occasionally. I loved her transforming mode - an ancient,
encrusted Cybertronian Inamra dagger.
Impressive weapon." Megatron
smiled, then turned to Soundwave.
"But you were the first one to join me, to believe in me and truly
understand me, after you eaves dropped on my final 'speech', if you could call
it that. I felt so ... depressed and
rejected and so alone, but you helped me see the reality in my dream and helped
me accomplish it. You stuck with me
through good times and bad. No one has
ever understood or helped me the way you have."
"I feel the same toward you. I too felt lost before I met you."
There was a short silence
between the two.
Soundwave slid his dark
blue hand over Megatron's wrist and clasped it.
The Decepticon Leader put his hand over his friend's and squeezed it
gently.
"You're tense," Soundwave
said. "Relax."
"It's difficult with the pressures of
leadership."
"I know." Soundwave turned Megatron's back toward him and
started to massage his back and shoulders.
Megatron didn't want to admit how good it felt or how much he needed it.
"You're good at this," he said
after a while, feeling his body relax as Soundwave massaged further down. Soundwave's hands slid around his waist. The Decepticon Leader gently held his
friend's hand and wove his fingers in and out of the other's while caressing
his hand. Soundwave did the same. Megatron leaned closer to him, slid his arm
around Soundwave's waist, then withdrew it quickly.
"I'm sorry."
Soundwave took his
hand. "For what?"
There was a short pause.
"Do you want this?"
"You have been wanting this for some
time."
"Yes ... but to you want
it?"
Soundwave seemed to
smile. "If I did not, I would not
be here."
Megatron smiled. "Thank you ... And how did you
know? Am I that transparent?"
"Only to me."
Megatron smiled and shook
his head. "Your insight never fails
to surprise me." He slid his hand
around Soundwave's slender waist and drew him closer. Soundwave controlled his mouth plate to slide
within his chin.
"You know, I forget what you look like
without that sometimes."
Soundwave smiled. "It is not often I get a chance to do
away with it. Everyone's so used to
it. Even myself ... and I cannot let others
see my emotions, or vulnerabilities."
Megatron nodded. "I know." He deeply respected and
cherished Soundwave's confidence in him and wondered what in Hades he would do
without him. He ran his hand over the
side of Soundwave's head and placed his hand on his friend's shoulder. The two drew closer to each other and kissed,
their lips touching and their hands exploring and holding each other. Megatron slid his hands down Soundwave's
arms, then leaned over to the wall on the side of his resting ledge and entered
a number. A compartment door slid open,
revealing a cluster of glowing hot pink Energon cubes. He took two out. There were quite a few more behind them.
"Shh," he said with a smile. "Don't tell anyone - it's my secret
stash." Though he knew Soundwave would never dream of telling another
soul. He drank a cube of Sweet Energon
then handed one to Soundwave, who did the same.
Almost immediately, they felt their bodies relax further as the
aphrodisiac, a mixture of Cybertonium and Energon, took effect.
"Ahh, it's not often I get to use the
stuff," Megatron said with a smile.
"Don't worry, there's plenty more."
Soundwave smiled. "Good."
And in sync with each
other, they each opened a panel on the side of their waists. Megatron took out his energy connection
filter and attached it to Soundwave's open panel and then he smiled.
"It's been a long time for both of
us."
As Megatron lay back,
Soundwave lay next to him and they held each other's hands and Megatron started
the energy flow, slowly at first.
Soundwave let Megatron's energy flow through him before gently returning
the flow. Megatron smiled as he felt
Soundwave's energy merge with his own.
He propped himself up against the purple metal wall, and Soundwave too
adopted a sitting position. The two
suddenly threw their arms around each other and became engrossed in a deep
passionate kiss, lost together in their energies.
It was a while before they
relaxed. Soundwave rested his head on
Megatron's shoulder and the Decepticon leader smiled warmly and gently caressed
his friend's body. Soundwave relaxed to
the touch. Megatron smiled again,
cherishing these special moments, putting everything else out of his mind,
grateful for this special time alone with Soundwave. The war, devising plans, giving orders,
attacking the Autobots - that could all wait - this was more important
now. At first it had embarrassed
Megatron that he'd felt this way toward Soundwave. He'd certainly never felt this way toward any
other male. The first time he and
Soundwave had been together, was when Megatron had been devastated by the loss
of his first female love, a strong and sassy black and gold Seeker named
Fuselage, about almost five million years before the Transformers had come to
Earth. She had been one of the first
casualties of the Transformers War. Megatron had not regretted starting the
war, despite her loss. He doubted he
would find another like her, but forced himself to get over her and he had. He had apologised to Soundwave for acting so
irresponsibly, but Soundwave had taken his hand and told his leader that he had
not been offended, in fact honoured. He
had promised Megatron that he would always be here for him, for which Megatron
had sincerely thanked him and from that day on, Soundwave had become in many
ways, his counsellor as well as his friend.
Although he had not said it to Soundwave, the blue Decepticon knew
Megatron would always be there for him.
"Thank you, Soundwave," Megatron
said, looking down at his friend, Soundwave resting his head in Megatron's lap.
Soundwave looked up at
him. "Thank you," he said.
"My pleasure."
Megatron laid back down on
the resting ledge and Soundwave slid next to him. Megatron increased the energy flow and
Soundwave increased his to match. The
flow became more vigorous as both Decepticons let passion flare between them.

Meanwhile, At Autobot
Headquarters...
Optimus Prime was
worried. "They got the Austinbach
Diamond..."
"Sorry, Optimus, we couldn't stop
them."
"No one's to blame, Ironhide - according
to reports the German Government sent us, they bought it - legally."
"I can't believe that," Ironhide
snorted, "after all the time the creeps've tried to steal it."
"The documentation is right here,"
Optimus said. "Teletraan's been
meticulous as ever. They sold surplus
energy to power plants, rare oceanic minerals to the United States Geological
Survey and other geologists, taught people how to fly jets, even rescued
people, amongst other things ... They have been busy in the last fifteen
years - enough to raise seven hundred billion dollars."
"So what do we do?"
"Nothing."
"What?!"
"Nothing, Ironhide. They bought the gem legally. If we intervene, we would be breaking Earth's
law."
"I'm sure they'd make an exception in
this case. Megatron's bound to use the
diamond for a weapon of some sort - and that can't be good for us - or
Earth."
"Agreed.
Teletraan, patch in the spy camera Bumblebee planted on his last
espionage mission."
There was a short pause
before the computer spoke.
"Optimus, I am detecting strange energy emissions from within
Decepticon headquarters."
"They must be using the diamond,"
Optimus said. "We may be too
late. Teletraan, analyse the energy -
perhaps we can devise a counter attack."
"Energy not emanating from the
diamond," Teletraan reported.
"Then what is it emanating from? Give me a read out."
Teletraan showed the
energy pattern on screen.
Optimus widened his
optics. "Ooh. Definitely not gemstone energy. Thank you, that's enough, Teletraan."
"Aw, Prahme," Ironhide complained,
"jus' when it w's gettin' interestin'.."
"Ironhide..." Optimus scalded, "you would not appreciate it if
Decepticons spied on your intimate moments, would you?"
Ironhide sighed. "Yer right, Prahme. A'hm sorry."
Optimus too was
interested, but it was none of his business and he wasn't going to
intrude. "It's all right, Ironhide
... but we still need to find what the Decepticons want with that crystal. Teletraan, patch in Bumblebee's camera
again. Perhaps we can learn
something."
The two Autobots watched
Decepticon activity for a while and found Skywarp talking with Thundercracker
and listened to their conversation, and tuned out when they'd heard what they
wanted to hear, but not exactly what they'd expected to hear.
"Stranger things have happened..."
Optimus said.
"Like what?" Ironhide, demanded,
his voice a smile.
"Bought it for Megatron for his
birthday..." Optimus said, amused.
"Expensive present... Well I'm not exactly Ten Million yet..."
"Heck, you're still a baby."
"Shut up, Ironhide."
Optimus smiled. The older Autobot did as well.
* * *
Megatron grabbed
Soundwave's waist and thrust him against the wall, though not hard enough to
hurt. Soundwave forcefully pushed
Megatron back down onto the bed and held him down. Megatron smiled and let him take the
lead. The dark blue Decepticon increased
his energy flow, and smiled as Megatron held his slender waist. Megatron increased his flow to match. Soundwave increased his again.
"Impressive," Megatron smiled.
Soundwave gave a
mischievous smile which Megatron returned, but the blue Decepticon would not
let Megatron gain the upper hand, and both were enjoying it immensely, feeling
the vibrant energy pulsing within their bodies.
Megatron grabbed two more cubes of Sweet Energon which both Transformers
downed in one gulp and threw the empty cubes to the far wall. They immediately felt the Energon take
effect, enhancing their sexual pleasure.
It wasn't often Soundwave gave in to his feelings - but now was one of
the times he did, wholeheartedly without regrets. He didn't feel uncomfortable in the slightest
and felt he belonged here more than anywhere else in the Universe. Megatron was the only Transformer to whom he
could share his true feelings, besides his Cassettes, but even with them he
found some things difficult to talk about, but with Megatron, he seldom had
anything that he was afraid to say.
Megatron too felt Soundwave was the only one he could really trust and
admit his true feelings. He admired
Soundwave's infallible loyalty and friendship and his apparent nonchalance with
everyone else. He valued Soundwave's friendship more than anything. Soundwave was one of the few Decepticons he
felt he could be candid with as Soundwave always seemed to understand him, even
cheer him up in his not so cheerful moods.
Soundwave smiled as if sensing his friend's thoughts - and then he
surprised Megatron, by reducing his energy flow. The Decepticon Leader reduced his to match, a
little confused, but said nothing, as he didn't want to disturb the intimate
silence. Soundwave continued to reduce
the flow. Still confused, Megatron did
the same. Soundwave smiled warmly at his
leader, his friend and gently ran his hand over Megatron's cheek. The white Decepticon smiled, took hold of
Soundwave's dark blue hand, caressed it, then kissed it. Soundwave smiled again, then lay next to
Megatron and stopped reducing the flow.
Megatron turned to face Soundwave.
The silence seemed much quieter now than it had a moment ago. Megatron closed his eyes and realised just
what those 'missing somethings' were, relaxation, Soundwave, freedom - being
free of burdens, to be free to express himself, free to relax, enjoy himself
and also to share this freedom with Soundwave.
Megatron felt as if he was everywhere and nowhere, in a warm
blackness. He felt Soundwave's gentle
energy, the sheer softness and gentleness of the flow, the simple delicacy
almost made Megatron want to cry. Being
gentle was not one of the things he was renowned for and to others it would
seem that he'd consider such things a weakness, but right now, with Soundwave,
he wanted nothing else. Soundwave seemed
to know what he wanted even when Megatron himself didn't. He silently marvelled at his friend's
seemingly ninth sense. Megatron lay
there, savouring this moment with all his heart and refused to let himself
believe these sentiments were a sign of weakness. He knew it was not, but he would not admit
that to another soul, except Soundwave, whom he knew, knew already and Megatron
didn't mind that one bit.
"What do you suppose they're
doing?" Thundercracker asked. "They've been in there for ages."
"Who knows?" Starscream said.
"Who cares? Probably reminiscing
over old times or thinking up battle plans, I dunno."
"Maybe they're getting 'pissed' - as the
humans say - y'know, drunk," Rumble suggested with a smile.
Starscream smiled,
remembering the last time Megatron was 'pissed.' "Well whatever it is, it's none of our
business. He said he wanted to be alone
and I've a feeling all Hades'll break loose if we disturb him and he'll
probably have us all for breakfast."
"Yeah," Skywarp smiled. "C'mon, let's go to the air show and
give the humans a scare. It'll be
fun!"
"You and Thundercracker can go. I don't feel like it."
"Thanks," Skywarp said, almost sure
Starscream would forbid them to waste their energy in such a manner.
"We'd better not scare 'em too
much," Skyward said. "They'll
get the Autobots to kick our butts!"
"Yeah," Thundercracker
laughed. "Well they seem to like it
loud and fast - so let's go!"
"Have fun," Starscream said, much
to their surprise.
The two Seekers took
off. Starscream watched them go. He was feeling quite bored, so retreated to
his quarters and continued to work on his novel on his private computer. A novel about the Great Cybertronian Wars,
from his point of view. He was quite
proud of it so far and had entitled it:
To Hades, Back and Beyond ... By The Silver Snake.
Megatron lay on his
resting ledge with Soundwave.
"Thank you," he whispered, even
though soft, it seemed loud in the silence.
"For everything."
"My pleasure," Soundwave said
quietly.
The two sat up together.
Megatron smiled. "I'm Ten Million and a day - and I don't
feel a day over Ten Million."
Soundwave smiled too.
"I cannot thank you enough,
Soundwave," Megatron said, his voice sincere and soft. "It's the most precious gift anyone has
ever given me."
"Again it is my pleasure to give, and
share it with you."
Megatron smiled. "If you wish, you may stop now," he
said. "My Birthday was
yesterday. I-"
Soundwave took his
leader's hand. "What makes you
think I want to stop?"
The Decepticon Leader
smiled. "I was hoping you'd say
that."
"No need to apologise."
Megatron put his arms
around his navy blue friend and took out a third pair of Sweet Energon
cubes.
Soundwave smiled. "We'd better on easy on that stuff, or
we'll run out."
"Who gives a shit. I can get more." Megatron smiled, finished his cube and tossed
it away, adding to the numerous empty Energon cubes strewn on the floor. Soundwave smiled and drank his cube. When he'd finished, he rested his elbow on
his knee, balanced the empty cube on his finger, spun it around then tossed it
to the other side of the room. "Now
where were we?"
Megatron smiled. "Right about here ..."
And they kissed
again. Megatron ran his hand gently over
Soundwave's cheek, cherishing the moment, but more so, Soundwave's friendship,
loyalty and love, something which could never be replaced. Soundwave looked at his friend and smiled,
feeling the same. Megatron knew this
special moment would not last forever, and he and Soundwave would have to return
to duty, but didn't want to think about that now and put it out of his mind as
he and Soundwave intertwined their hands and leant against each other. They looked into each other's deep red eyes
and smiled as their lips touched. The
two Transformers put their arms around each other, then laid back on the
resting ledge, sharing this special moment of intimate bliss, togetherness,
sharing their energies, friendship, love and feelings and hoping the time would
soon come, when they could experience it all over again.
