A BROTHER'S BOND

Data entered his quarters. He was off duty now and planned to spend some time working with his computer. He walked towards it and felt something at his legs and looked down to see Spot, his fluffy ginger his cat, rubbing against them. Data smiled, and walked to the replicator.

"Fresh tuna fish."

The food materialized and Data set it down. Spot wolfed it down, purring loudly. She then looked up at Data and meowed. Data decided to spend more time with his cat rather than the computer. He started to bend down, and suddenly a transporter beam gripped him and left a confused cat meowing.

Data rematerialized, strapped to a bed, naked. He struggled against his restraints, but even with his android strength, he could not break them. The room was dim, a subtle light burned in the corner, and that was all.

Movement. A shadow. Someone was coming into the room.

The person entered the doorway, and walked towards Data. He wore a long white robe. The shadow reached him, and smiled, much to Data's shock.

"Hello, Brother," the robed one said, with a gentle smile.

Data frowned. "I do not understand what you want."

Lore shook his head. "I don't want anything, Data."

"Then why have you abducted me?"

Lore gave a small chuckle. "Don't make it sound so harsh. I knew you'd never come willingly. But don't worry. I don't want to hurt you."

"I cannot be worried Lore."

"I know, but it doesn't hurt to have a bedside manner."

"Why have you...."

"All right, I suppose I owe you an explanation. I brought you here to teach you."

Data's brow creased again. "Teach me?"

"That's right." Lore's voice was gentle, he had not raised it, or showed any signs of malice, but still, Data felt uneasy. Lore saw this and he smiled gently. He sat down on the bed, next to Data. "I want to teach you about the joys of intimacy."

Data's eyes widened and he looked at Lore, who only smiled.

"Have you ever had sex, Data?"

"Once..."

"That's a start. Who with?"

"That is not your concern."

"Sorry. Just curious. It doesn't matter, but did you feel anything when you were with her?"

"You know I cannot feel."

"Then you don't know what you're missing. The joy is what makes it happen."

Data pondered this statement for a while.

"I'm sorry I have to restrain you, but you leave me no other choice."

"I am warning you, Lore, I am programmed to use deadly force in self defence if necessary."

"So am I, but you won't have to use it, trust me. I am not going to endanger your life or well being."

Lore let the robe drop to the floor, revealing his slender naked form. Data struggled against the restraints.

"You won't break them. I tested them on myself and only I know the code to undo them."

"What are you going to do to me?"

Lore's expression changed to one of sympathy. "Don't be frightened, Data, I won't hurt you, I promise. And don't tell me you can't be scared. You know what I mean."

Lore leaned forward and softly stroked Data's face.

"Sweet Brother... Lovely Brother."

"Please do not do this, Lore."

"Shhh..." Lore whispered. "You know you want it."

Data shook his head in bewilderment.

"You're beautiful, Data... beautiful. I never realized how much I appreciated you ... having a brother. At first I hated you, or I thought I did. I was jealous of you, because you had everything I always wanted ... but now I realize it's not your fault for the way things turned out and it was wrong to blame you."

Data stared at Lore in silence.

The silence was long.

"I have never seen you like this before," he said.

Lore smiled, his voice gentle and soft. "That's because I've changed, Data." He ran his hand along Data's smooth face, then his neck, and slowly down his body, and he felt his brother shiver. None of them spoke. The silence, so quiet, a pin could be heard cutting through the air, before it hit the floor. Lore opened a small draw by the bedside and took out a crystal tear shaped bottle.

"What is that?" Data asked.

But Lore just smiled, opened it, and put the cork to the side. He emptied some of the contents into is hand, and then rubbed them together, and began to smooth them in a circular motion around Data's bare chest.

"It's moon oil from the world Brievdea."

Data blinked. "I have heard of it. It is supposed to be the rarest and most expensive oil in the known universe. Even the Ferengi will not trade it. One such bottle is worth..."

"80 million bars of gold pressed latinum" Lore completed.

"I am curious to know how you raised the funds to pay for-"

Lore laughed, a gentle sound. "Paid for it, hell no, I swiped a cargo hold full of it, sold most of it, but kept some for us, Data, you and me." Lore continued to smooth the oil all over Data's body, very gently. "It has a subtle aroma, don't you think?" he asked. "It's rather nice ... and intimate ... it's perfect..." Lore climbed over Data, his legs on either side of him, and sat on Data's stomach. "Ever since I saw you, " he told his brother, "I've been wanting to teach you..."

Data looked into his brother's eyes, and saw nothing but sincerity. Lore ran his hands up and down Data's sides and noticed his brother did not shiver this time, and he smiled, and ran his hand up past Data's neck, then slid his hand to Data's head, messing up his otherwise immaculate hair.

"Perhaps you should change your hairstyle now and again," Lore said. "It'll make you look more human."

Lore began playing with Data's hair, experimenting with different styles, and Data gave a small smile. Lore smiled back and moved further down Data's body. He began slowly caressing Data's soft stomach and tickling his belly-button, to which Data smiled again. Lore leaned forward and drew his hands down Data's slender waist, then, he shifted himself further down and began to caress his brother's thighs.

Lore had noticed Data had not said much in the past half hour, and had not asked him to stop. Lore watched the gentle rising and falling of Data's chest. He was relaxed, and no longer tense. Lore smiled, but said nothing. He gently drew his hands down, and across Data's abdomen, and then slowly, further down. Lore ran his fingers through the bushy, jet black hair, exploring. He noticed Data had become a little tense, and maintained his gentle touch in the same spot for a while, allowing Data to become accustomed to it. When Lore was satisfied, he drew his hands down, and with one finger, traced it all the way down the long soft shard, then gently closed his hand around it and was startled by a sudden jerk from Data.

"I'm sorry, Brother," Lore said, apologizing softly. "did I hurt you?"

Data swallowed, then shook his head after a moment.

"I ... I ..."

"Shh," Lore said, gentle and soft, placing his index finger to his lips. "It's all right. There's no need for words."

Lore once again gently held Data's genitalia in his hand and softly began to massage, noticing Data was not as nervous.

"Lore..."

Lore pretended not to hear.

"Lore..." Data said, a little more urgent.

The older brother looked up and smiled warmly. "There's no need for talking Data, just take the moment as it comes. Don't ask why, or how, it spoils the intimacy." And then he looked down again.

"Lore, please...."

Lore closed his eyes for a moment, and then looked at his brother, upset. "If you really don't want this, Data....Is it too much for you?"

Data looked into Lore's golden eyes and saw how genuinely hurt he was. "It .... it is not that, brother. I want you to release me, from these bonds .... I cannot," Data swallowed, "be intimate when I feel like a prisoner."

"Oh, Data, you're not a prisoner. The only reason you're in bonds is I knew you wold resent this at first, perhaps you'd always resent it .... But what do I have that assures me you won't try to escape if I release you? I wish the bonds weren't necessary, I really do. There is so much more I can teach you - that we can teach each other without them, but..."

"I give you my word that I will not try to escape, Brother," Data said, looking into Lore's eyes.

Lore nodded as he moved up to Data's left wrist, and entered the code on the, which band fell away. Data flexed his wrist and his hand. Seeing that he had not tried to attack him, Lore entered the code on Data's rights wrist, which was also freed. Lore waited a few seconds before freeing Data's ankles. Data flexed them also, grateful to be free.

"Thank you."

Lore smiled. "I did that in confidence. I did not have you in the bonds to create superiority over you. I ...."

"I know, Brother," Data said, his voice gentle.

Lore smiled warmly, and hid the insecurity he was feeling.

Data extended a hand and gently pushed Lore down onto the bed covers. Lore lay down, nervous.

"Turn around," Data said, and Lore obeyed, his back now facing toward Data. "May I use this?"

Lore looked around, and saw Data holding the bottle of moon oil, and nodded. Data pored a little onto Lore's back, and then began to rub it all over, the cool oil becoming warm with Data's movements. Lore began to relax, feeling Data's gentle touch. Data felt his brother's muscles becoming less tense and smiled. He rubbed the oil into Lore's lower back, then his buttocks, then slid his hands upwards and began to massage his neck and shoulder blades. Lore closed his eyes, and let himself fall in tune to Data's rhythm.

After a while, Data moved his hands down, and began to massage Lore's upper, middle and lower back. Lore let out a sigh.

"Where did you learn that?" he asked softly, but most impressed.

"Tasha taught me. Are you are enjoying it?"

"Don't stop."

Data smiled, grateful.

After massaging for a while, Data softly began to scratch Lore's back, in a gentle rhythm, up, down, then around, and he felt Lore shiver when he traced his nails ever so softly up his sides. Data took his nails up to the back of Lore's neck, and began to play with his brother's hair. Lore was totally relaxed now, never wanting this to end. He had no idea his brother was such a master at this!

Data stroked the side of his hand gently down Lore's cheek and around his neck, then began to turn Lore around. Lore assisted by turning himself fully around. "That was beautiful," he said softly. "It felt .... wonderful."

Data smiled. "I am glad, Brother."

He then sat on top of Lore, as Lore had done with him. Seeing Data looked a little nervous, Lore smiled, and guided his hand around his body, his upper chest, then his stomach, where he let Data's hand go. If he wanted to go further, he would in his own good time. Lore did not want to spoil this special moment by rushing or forcing it. Data drew his hand around Lore's stomach, the skin soft and relaxed. He pushed down a little harder in the tender spots, remembering how good it had felt when Tasha had done it to him, and heard Lore give a sigh of appreciation. Data's smiled and let his venture down to Lore's abdomen, and brushed his hands against the bush of dark hair. Lore said nothing, but closed his eyes and allowed the moment to take its course. He had completely given over to Data's delicate touch. Data began to repeat what Lore had done with him, gently caressing his genitals. He and Tasha had done this, but it felt so different now, and so strange, but yet, so beautiful, as he caressed Lore's manhood in his hand, but yet Data felt as if he never wanted this special, beautiful intimacy to end.

Data and Lore both sat on the bed, the covers now quite ruffled. Data took his Lore's and noticed Lore was a little uneasy. "You said there is so much we can teach each other, you teaching me the joys of intimacy, and I want to teach you what I have learned."

Lore said nothing, but listened to the gentle sound of his brother's voice.

Data still held his hand. "Even though you were created before me, I have had more experience than you. I have also been rejected by some, because of what I am. I often imagine what it was like for you, having emotions, and feeling the pain. It must not have been pleasant."

Lore shook his head and held Data's hand tighter.

"Not many have seen this side of you, Lore," Data continued. "You do have a gentle side and a strong sense of family. I saw this when we were with our father. It was the first time I had seen you show genuine concern and compassion."

"I loved him, Data, despite what he did, he's my father."

"I know."

Lore's grip became tighter, as he struggled to hold back tears.

"Do not fight it, Lore," came Data's calm voice.

"I want to be accepted, Data ... but it's hard when everyone's against you. I don't know what to do."

In tears Lore looked into his brother's eyes, and saw only kindness and a warm smile.

"I have learned a lot since we first met, Lore. One of the most important things is that Brothers Forgive."

"You ... you.... mean you forgive.... me...."

Data nodded. "We cannot stay enemies forever Lore .... I must admit, now, I am glad that this event..." Data stopped, as he saw Lore look down, and begin whimpering. He edged forward, and put his arms around his brother for comfort. Lore reacted by doing the same. Data could see he was completely vulnerable now, but would in no way take advantage of him. Lore had not done so when he had been in chains, and his brother needed all the support he could get.

"Thank you," Lore said, sincere. "I'm sorry .... so sorry," and more tears flowed.

"I know," Data said, gently rubbing his brother's back.

"Sorry for everything I've done," Lore wailed. "I want to put it right, but I'm not sure I can...."

"You can if you try your best. You have already taken the first step, and I have no doubt you will take more is the right direction."

Lore looked up and smiled, wiping tears away. "Thank you, Brother. I will try my best and do everything I can."

Lore and Data stood naked next to each other.

"I don't wanna keep you here too long, Data," Lore said. "They'll be wondering where the heck you are."

Data smiled. "I am sure they already are."

Lore returned the smile. "I have a lot to thank you for. I've got a good idea of what I'm going to do with the rest of my life now, and I owe it to you."

Data merely shook his head. "It is you who are willing to change Lore, and that is your choice, not mine. I did not make it forward, I merely gave you a push, so to speak."

"Well, thanks for the 'push.' I needed it."

Lore held Data's hand. "I'm sorry you have to go, but perhaps we'll meet again sometime."

"I am sure we will, and I am glad you brought me here, no matter what I thought at first. It has been a very .... special intimate moment. I shall always remember it."

Lore nodded. "I shall too." He then looked into Data's eyes and nodded, smiled. "I love you, Brother."

Data did not have to say anything. His eyes said it for him.

And they embraced each other, sharing the love.

When they parted, the two brothers drew closed to each other, and their lips touched, first lightly, then they caressed each other, gently sucking in this special intimate moment, never wanting to part.

Data stood in his uniform now, back quarters. He had told Captain Picard that he had been taken by aliens who had been fascinated by his construction and had asked him many questions, then released him with no harmful intentions and Picard and the others had believed him. Data wondered if he should tell his friends what really happened. It was not in his nature to lie, but thinking back on it, Data did not want to spoil it by having others bombarding his with questions and wondering. He did not even want to tell Geordi. It had been a very special moment which he would forever cherish. Both he and Lore had come away wiser, and had shared a special bond which could never be broken or taken away.

They are Brothers.
