HYMN
(Iesu, Redemptor Omnium)

Iesu, redemptor omnium,
perpes corona caelitum,
in ac die clementius
nostris faveto vocibus,

O Jesus, man's Redeemer kind,
Eternal Crown of all the saints,
Upon this joyful festal day
Heed yet more graciously our prayer.

Sacre tui qua nominis
confessor almus claruit,
cuius celebrat annua
devota plebs sollemnia.

For we, your People, celebrate
The feast of one who loved you well,
And for the honor of your Name
Sought first your Kingdom of all good.

Per illa quae sunt saeculi
gressu sereno transiit,
tibi fidelis iugiter
iter salutis persequens.

Through all the snares the world presents
He passed unruffled and unharmed,
Pursuing true salvation's path,
Remaining faithful to the last.

At rite mundi gaudiis
non cor caducis applicans,
cum angelis caelestibus
laetus potitur praemiis.

He dallied not with things of earth,
Nor set his heart on passing joys,
And now with angels choirs above
He joyously obtains reward.

Huius benignus annue
nobis sequi vestigia;
huius precatu servulis
dimitte noxam criminis.

Grant us the grace we beg and pray,
To follow in his footsteps sure,
And by his intercession too,
Forgive us when we go astray.

Sit, Christe, rex piissime,
tibi Patrique gloria
cum Spiritu Paraclito,
in sempiterna saecula. Amen.

O Christ our King and tender Lord,
All glory ever be to you,
Who with the Holy Spirit reign
With God the Father's might supreme. Amen.

Ant. 1 All you saints sing, * sing praise to our God. (Alleluia).

PSALM 113

Praise, O servants of the Lord, * praise the name of the Lord!

May the name of the Lord be blessed * both now and forevermore!

From the rising of the sun to its setting * praised be the name of the Lord!

High above all nations is the Lord, * above the heavens his glory.

Who is like the Lord, our God, * who has risen on high to his throne

yet stoops from the heights to look down, * to look down upon heaven and earth?

From the dust he lifts up the lowly, * from his misery he raises the poor

to set him in the company of princes, * yes, with the princes of his people.

To the childless wife he gives a home * and gladdens her heart with children.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit: * as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, * world without end. Amen.

Ant. 1 All you saints sing, * sing praise to our God. (Alleluia).

Ant. 2 Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for holiness; * they will be satisfied. (Alleluia).

PSALM 146

My soul, give praise to the Lord * I will praise the Lord all my days, * make music to my God while I live.

Put no trust in princes, * in mortal men in whom there is no help.

Take their breath, they return to clay * and their plans that day come to nothing.

He is happy who is helped by Jacob's God, * whose hope is in the Lord his God,

who alone made heaven and earth, * the seas and all they contain.

It is he who keeps faith for ever, * who is just to those who are oppressed.

It is he who gives bread to the hungry, * the Lord, who sets prisoners free,

the Lord who gives sight to the blind, * who raises up those who are bowed down,

the Lord, who protects the stranger * and upholds the widow and orphan.

It is the Lord who loves the just * but thwarts the path of the wicked.

The Lord will reign for ever, * Zion's God, from age to age.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit: * as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, * world without end. Amen.

Ant. 2 Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for holiness; * they will be satisfied. (Alleluia).

Ant. 3 Blessed be God! * He has chosen us to live in love, * holy and without blemish in his sight. (Alleluia).

CANTICLE
Ephesians 1:3-10

Praised be the God and Father * of our Lord Jesus Christ,

who has bestowed on us in Christ * every spiritual blessing in the heavens.

God chose us in him * before the world began * to be holy and blameless in his sight.

He predestined us * to be his adopted sons through Jesus Christ, * such was his will and pleasure,

that all might praise the glorious favor * he has bestowed on us in his beloved.

In him and through his blood, * we have been redeemed, * and our sins forgiven,

so immeasurable generous * is God's favor to us.

God has given us the wisdom * to understand fully the mystery, * the plan he was pleased to decree in Christ.

A plan to be carried out in Christ, * in the fullness of time,

to bring all things into one in him, * in the heavens and on the earth.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit: * as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, * world without end. Amen.

Ant. 3 Blessed be God! * He has chosen us to live in love, * holy and without blemish in his sight. (Alleluia).

READING
Philippians 3:7-8

Those things I used to consider gain I have now reappraised as loss in the light of Christ. I have come to rate all as loss in the light of the surpassing knowledge of my Lord Jesus Christ. For his sake I have forfeited everything; I have accounted all else rubbish so that Christ may be my wealth.

RESPONSORY

The Lord loved him, * and shared with him his glory.
- The Lord loved him, * and shared with him his glory.

He wrapped him in a splendid robe,
- and shared with him his glory.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, * and to the Holy Spirit.
- The Lord loved him, * and shared with him his glory.

MAGNIFICAT

Magnificat Ant. This man will receive blessings and compassion * from the Lord God, his Savior, * for this is the reward of those who seek the Lord. (Alleluia).

My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord, * my spirit rejoices in God my Savior for he has looked with favor * on his lowly servant.

From this day all generations * will call me blessed:

the Almighty has done great things for me, * and holy is his Name.

He has mercy on those who fear him * in every generation.

He has shown the strength of his arm, * he has scattered the proud in their conceit.

He has cast down the mighty from their thrones, * and has lifted up the lowly.

He has filled the hungry with good things, * and the rich he has sent away empty.

He has come to the help of his servant Israel * for he has remembered his promise of mercy,

the promise he made to our fathers, * to Abraham and his children for ever.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit: * as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, * world without end. Amen.

Magnificat Ant. This man will receive blessings and compassion * from the Lord God, his Savior, * for this is the reward of those who seek the Lord. (Alleluia).

INTERCESSIONS

Let us pray to the Father, the source of all holiness, * and ask him to lead us to holiness of life through the example and intercession of his saints:

May we be holy as you are holy.

Holy Father, you want us to be called your sons and truly to be such, grant that your holy Church may proclaim you throughout the world.

May we be holy as you are holy.

Holy Father, you want us to walk worthily and please you in all we do, let us abound in doing good works.

May we be holy as you are holy.

Holy Father, you have reconciled us to yourself through Christ, preserve us in your name so that we may be one.

May we be holy as you are holy.

Holy Father, you have called us to a heavenly banquet, through the bread that came down from heaven make us worthy to grow in perfec love.

May we be holy as you are holy.

Holy Fahter, forgive the offenses of every sinner, let the dead perceive the light of your countenance.

May we be holy as you are holy.

PATER NOSTER

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

PRAYER

Father, you called Saint Bruno to serve you in solitude. In answer to his prayers help us to remain faithful to you amid the changes of this world.

We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.

DISMISSAL

May the Lord bless us,
protect us from all evil
and bring us to everlasting life.
Amen.
