To the Canadian Air Defence web page. This page is dedicated to all

ROLE

The role of the Air Defence artillery is "To prevent the enemy, by the air,
from interfering with our ground operations."

WEAPON SYSTEMS

The Air Defence currently uses three weapon systems in its arsenal.

• The Javelin Missile
  
• The ADATS (Air Defence Anti Tank System); and
  
• The Gun/Skyguard System

UNITS

There are five units of Air Defence across Canada.

The 1st Air Defence Regement
(Lanark & Renfrew Scottish)
Royal Canadian Artillery

The 4th Air Defence Regiment

18th Air Defence Regiment
