The Dragon, The Earl, and The Troll
by
Gordon R. Dickson
Genre: Fantasy

Rating: ***

Summary: Brian, after winning the capful of gold at the Earl's, has decided to go to the holy land to find Grenode's father so he can consent to her daughter's marriage. Jim, at first, turns down his friends offer to take him too, but has second thoughts and soon sets out to find Brian. When he does catch up to him, they encounter Salee Rovers (moroccan pirates), assassins, mongols, and a djinn.

Here we have a nice change of scenery. Traveling in the holy land presents its own set of challenges, especially when it comes to finding Grenode's father, who might be dead for all we know. Enjoyable. This comes in a close second favorite in this series.
