Summary: The fairy Lucinda bestowed a curse upon Ella when she was born. Lucinda thought she was giving a blessing by making Ella obedient, but unfortunately, that means Ella must obey any command, no matter what it is. When Ella's mother dies, her father remarries, and she is sent to boarding school with her odious new sisters. Life becomes unbearable because of the curse, and Ella has to find a way to break it.

    Call me thick, but I never realized this was a Cinderella story until she comes home from school. It's a good tale, although I didn't paticularly care for the heavy(er) romance near the end. I'm not that kind of person. It's original, and every girl I know who has read it loves it. Ideally, this would be middle school material, though older people (like me) might enjoy it, too.
