Here are some pics of the laptop pod

The pod attaches to one of the seat to floor bolts. I also added a bracket to the side of the console and had to drill two small holes. The lower section of pipe is actually 1" copper pipe that I painted black. The chrome section of pipe and the swivel at the top are parts from the foot holder on an old wheelchair! I attached a small piece of plywood to the foot rest and added some carpet. The plywood base could be made smaller so that the laptop would appear to rest in mid air. A hold down strap securely holds the laptop in position. A velcro strip mounted on the side of the laptop display and another on the side of the dasboard, hold the display in the open position. The laptop can be raised or lowered by loosening a bolt (hidden) at the top of the chrome pipe. I had it a little lower before but it was difficult to see the clock and adjust the ventilation system. I found this position to be better. Visibility under most conditions has been quite good. At night with the Diacom program running I have it set to a black backgroung with yellow/gold text and turn the contrast all the way down. It does not affect outside visibility in any way.
