A biography of Catrina Ganey.

Catrina Ganey grew up in Washington, DC, the youngest
of three girls of a single mother. Her mother had a love for entertainment
and Catrina grew up loving the theater.

Catrina had always wanted to be a doctor. In high school,
she was in a special science program doing an
experiment, and her teacher suggested that she go down the hallway
to the drama department, and she's been there ever since.

Catrina trained at the Webber Douglas Academy in London.
She received her BFA in theatre from
Howard University and graduated Magna Cum Laude,
and Catrina received her MA from the University of Michigan.
She was also a chaplain at the
Children's Hospital in Detroit for five years.

Catrina has traveled all over the world, to Germany and South Africa
and studied acting in London. She also teaches
speech and communications at LaGuardia College in Queens, N.Y.

In all of her major roles, Catrina has portrayed either a social worker
or a nurse. On "The Sopranos", she was a nurse. On an episode
of the new fall series "Law and Order: Criminal Intent",
she plays a nurse. On "All My Children", she's a nurse.
In the movie "Bringing Out the Dead" she played an emergency room technician.

This September 14th, Catrina begins taping again at
"All My Children". She is reprising the role of our beloved Nurse Zora.
Look for those episodes to air sometime in October and November!!
