We can make a difference
in the quality of lives of our military
We, the people, can not forget those who have served so that we
may be free.
Our military personnel have shown
us their loyalty to our country. They have served, even some times
when they were in objection to the situation. Their duty was and
is to protect us and our freedom, and they take that duty seriously.
At this time, my immediate attention is drawn
to the problems of the 20+ year retirees. Our courts are doing an
injustice to these people. People who have given all that they could
and sometimes more. Some of them have come back from their careers
with problems that none of us as civilians will ever have to experience.
And, if we do, we have the right to file suit against our employer, which
is not an option for the military person.
They are left with pittance of what they
could have accumulated if they were in civilian life. They receive
a military retainer pay, which they are entitled to because they are now
considered inactive reserves, subject to recall during national emergency.
This is what a lot ofthe men/women who get out live on. Then, in
the all powerful wisdom of the government, they created the USFSPA, and
there goes the security of our fighting people.
There is absolutely no sense to this law. It is
unjust and unfair. Some of the people who are hit by it are now homeless.
Some want to leave the united States of America. Some have committed
suicide. Some are incapable of working, and where does that leave them.
WAKE UP, FELLOW CITIZENS .............. WHERE ARE YOU
WHEN THEY NEED YOU ........ THEY WERE THERE FOR YOU, AND NOW IT IS YOUR
TURN ....... FIGHT FOR OUR HEROES ...........
