Signed me up when I was four years old
Taught me to do whatever I was told
Stripped away any trace of individuality
Coerced to conform my personality
Explained the rules and laws to obey
Six hours of indoctrination a day
Broke my spirit and confused my mind
Processed and packaged on the assembly line
Gave me a book I was forced to memorize
Five hundred pages of distortion and lies
Destroyed my capacity for free thought
Trained to be a commodity to be bought
Positioned as a cog in the economy wheel
Learned how to act, how to think, how to feel
And this is how our tax dollars are spent
But the tragedy is, it's not an accident
It's how the institution was designed
Processed and packaged on the assembly line
My place in the caste I was forced to memorize
Through 13 years of distortion and lies
And now that I'm nineteen years old
Reflecting on the things that I've been told
I don't know if you can see
But it all looks pretty fucking scary to me.
