People of Nevada!

Bob Kinford is a cowboy gone writer. He is now living in Douglas County, NV. In an article by Sandi Wright of the Reno Gazette Journal, on December 16, 2000, I discovered Kinford who writes about his career as a contemporary cowboy here in Nevada and 6 other "range" states.

The term "freelance cowboy" doesn't do justice to Kinford's overall talents. He has written two books, "Cowboy Romance (of Horsesweat and Hornflies)" and a cookbook "Cowboy Goremay (From Hoof to Palate)"

His receipes originated from his campfire days.

Cowboy Bob creatively markets his own publications and he knows the value of an internet presence. He travels promoting his publications at local booksellers. During a recent local book signing, Kinford lured possible buyers when he tied his book to the end of a string dragging the volume toward him.

Kinford's website offers unexpected variety. Kinford is writing another book, excerpts can be found here. Horse training and bull breeding services are mentioned and moreover, he offers several pages of ranch style philosophy reflecting insight.

We've supplied his page link, but you have to promise to come back to us... 2lazy4u

Jean Bernard designs and makes dolls. Fate stepped in with one of those odd incidences, three years ago, when someone asked her to repair a snowman doll. Really getting into it, she amazed all concerned with the results!

She saved and scraped the money to at attend a doll-making seminar presented by Jack Johnson, a reknown doll-maker, here in Reno. Johnson invited Bernard to attend his advanced doll-making classes at the Professional Dollmakers Academy in Salt Lake City, Utah

Jean works with the "spirit" of the doll. "They speak to me", she tells us.

She attended the International Toy Fair in New York City last February hoping it would offer opportunities. It was there that she sold her first doll, "Lady Brantley".

Her dolls are graceful and elegant!
