Scorsese

Synopsis: Another
movie adapted from a true story, Scorsese and
Pileggi combine for a film which some revere as
the greatest mafia movie of all time. The film
tells a story of three guys, trying to work their
way up the ranks in the local mafia, whether they
be stealing trucks full of cigarettes, setting
restaraunts a blaze, or devising a coke deal that
may not only land them in jail, but get them
killed by the higher-ups. The director was
tempted to glamourize the mafia, but in the end
you end up seeing the darker side, where you
can't trust anyone, and are constantly looking
over your shoulder. A spectacular film all the
way.
