IT'S BERETTA TIME!
The intention of the page is to basically show you what I have done to my car, educate the beginner, and to kill time. I have some time to kill so Ill get started. I still consider myself a beginer in some aspects so cut me some slack.
UPDATE!!
- 11/26/01 - I put a 3400SFI engine in the Z, check it out here.
This will be the second webpage that I have produced. The first one that I made was also about my Z26. Theres a chance you might still be able to check it out at http://members.xoom.com/mcgavinz26/Scottz26.htm OR http://members.nbci.com/mcgavinz26/Scottz26.htm. To say the least... I really don't like my old website that much. It has been nearly two years since I wrote most of the jiberish on there (mind you I'm still 18 now). I can still look at it but NBCI or something like that has taken it over, it's not xoom anymore. I will copy some of that information onto this website and I have access to a digital camera now so I will be getting some quality pics up soon hopefully.
Disclaimer: DON'T TRY ANY OF THIS AT HOME OR YOU WILL DIE. I DO NOT BELIEVE IN SPELLCHECKING. I'M IN COLLEGE FOR COMPUTER ENGINEERING, NOT TO BE AN ENGLISH MAJOR.
The car: 1994 Chevrolet Beretta Z26 with a 3100 SFI engine and a 4T60-E transmission ( 4-speed auto w/overdrive)
Some Specs and info: It has the 3100 SFI or 3.1 engine, whatever you want to call it. It was the first year that the Beretta was upgraded to the 3100SFI from the 3.1 MPFI engine. Many parts catalogs list the 3.1 in the 94 Beretta as a MPFI engine. The difference between the two engines is about 25 hp. That is very debatable though. Many people will tell you the 3100 has 155hp and some will say 165hp. Either way, ask whoever is telling you this to show you a dyno test result. If they can show you that, then believe them. Until they prove otherwise I just say it had 160hp stock. The cassette tape that came with the car said 165hp. The 3100 SFI engine is still being used in new cars to this very day. It is rated at 170hp in the 2000 Malibu.

UPDATES:
11/26/01 - I have a new webpage dedicated mostly to the 3400 engine swap I did. I'll update this one now and again probably. I never posted this but back in July I went to Beretta Fest in KY and ran a 15.607 @ 90.1 mph. Then in early august I ran a 15.427 here at Lapeer Dragway. The car was in almost exactly the same shape accept that I put a bag of ice on the intake plenum for 30 minutes at Lapeer.
My Modifications: These pages will tell you how I did the modificaitons that I have done, why I would or wouldn't suggest doing them, and also what I want or plan to do. I recommend reading the summaries for each catagory before reading any of the individual mods.
