Now the Shepherd Boy wanted to do something fun.

He did not see a wolf, but he ran towards the

village anyway. He shouted, "Wolf! Wolf!" at the top of his voice.

The villagers heard his cry for help. They quit their work and ran excitedly to the pasture.

When they got to the pasture they found the Shepherd Boy laughing heartily.
