| Once upon a time, there was
a little monster. One morning his mother said "Now Vinney, you make sure you wear your winter clothes. It gets cold this time of year." |

But Vinney didn't want it to
be winter. He had too much fun in the summer. And the way Vinney figured, the sooner he started wearing winter clothes, the sooner winter would come. |
| That very day, while he was
walking home from school, it happened. The sky grew grey and cold. A wind blew in from the north. |

Vinney was cold. Vinney was
very, VERY cold. "Its so cold...I am going to take my ears off and put them in my pocket." And that is just what he did. |
| Vinney walked a little
further. "It is so cold... I am going to take my eyebrows off and put them in my pocket." And that is just what he did. |

further. "It is so cold... I am going to take my toes off and put them in my pocket."

| When Vinney got home he
tried to open the door, but he couldn't because his fingers were in his pocket, so he rang the doorbell. "Can I help you?" she asked. "I am hungry and I am cold and I want to come inside" said Vinney. |

Who are you?" asked
Vinney's mother. . "It is me, Vinney!" he cried. "Oh no. My boy has ears." said his mother. "My boy has eyebrows too". "My boy has eight furry purple
fingers and six furry purple toes". |
| "Wait! Wait!"
yelled Vinney. "I can prove it!" And with that Vinney reached into his pocket and took out his ears and put them where his eyebrows used to
be.
"See! Its me! Its me!" yelled Vinney. |
