Anyone else having difficulties with True Finder Integration in Stuffit Deluxe 6 and OS 9.1? or is it just me.

Very strange.. if you unstuff via drag & drop works ok.. yet if unstuff via the magic menu.. it acts like it's unstuffing yet when done the unstuffed file doesn't show anywhere.. finder freezes.. after reboot, the unstuffed file appears..

Ridiculous.. did everything imaginable, different extension combos.. rebuilt desktop, wiped prefs..new finder.. bla bla bla.. unless there is a related invisible somewhere I'm unaware of....

Currently the sob (stuffit 6) is no longer installed..

Will try 1 last time and install without the TFI.. this one has me baffled

You are having some of the same crap that made me so upset about Stuffit 6 being a so-called "better product".

Drag N Drop...you have to CHOOSE the location in a dialog. Why? 5.5 didn't do that...the file unstuffed where you put it.

The CM has no EXPAND command. Why?

TFI just messes with your finder something fierce. Why? 5.5 didn't (long as you had Load Stuffit Browser turned off).

Stuffit 6 TFI does wierd things, like you'll open a window and guess what?? No files show up! Open another window (if you can) and none there either! Then, if you aren't locked up completely, you will notice that your menus no longer work to restart yourself out of this jam. So you do a force restart.

I'll repeat what I've said in the past: Stuffit Deluxe is a big piece of CRAP and I think that Aladdin should be paying people for all the time they've wasted trying to get this pathetic flipping app to work properly.

Stay with 5.5.1....it doesn't have all those issues. That's my opinion...

Aladdin DropZip 6.0: You can use Stuffit Deluxe, it has Dropzip included...if you actually LIKE stuffit deluxe 6, I think it sucks BIGTIME.

I played with it recently cuz someone I know had to have it on a rescue CD I made for em...geez, there's no EXPAND (or is it Stuff I forget which) command in the contextual menu...you drag and drop something from the Stuffit Browser to the desktop or a folder, and instead of just unstuffing, like it SHOULD...it brings up a dialog box asking for location! Pardon me, but that's just flaming stupid on Aladdin's part.

And WHY take such a useful, staple feature out of the CM? Someons oughta slap those people upside the head a few times, took em long enough to get 5.x right, and they simply introduced new problems and REMOVED features in 6.0...so it does the email check thing, that's their big new feature in 6.0, whoopee.

If I had bought the app, I would have demanded my money back. Yet another case where "try before you buy" is a great thing. Some call that piracy...and whine about the money they lose on their software. But they don't send thousands of people compensation for their lost time, productivity, and money trying to get their stupid programming bungles figured out, do they? Okay okay...I'll stop LOL.
