POWERS:
Omega draws his power from the surrounding biosphere. He can do this with up to 18 intensity. However, if Omega uses this ability at more than intensity of 14, he runs the risk of causing a planet-wide catastrophe. Each time he does this, he must make an Challenging (12) power action or start a series of 18 intensity plasma and mind blasts that radiate out from him at a rate of 10 feet per exchange. These continue until he is stopped or everyone is dead. As a last ditched effort, Omega can channel the energies inward by making a Desperate (20) power action. This ends the chain reaction, but he will be disintegrated by the process...

Omega was a synthetic being created by a dying race to perpetuate their species. He came to Earth to rescue a younger counterpart (named James-Michael Starling) from the same people who created them. It seems that the creators felt Omega and James were flawed. Along the way, Omega became a hero. However, the story ends tragically, as Omega was shot dead and James sacrificed himself by turning his power inward, making sure no one was injured by his power.
