He recognized her after he listening to Mai's "Baby I Like" demo tape and especially made a remixes analog set "Baby I Like REMIXES" for her. Two months later, her debut single in Japan "Love, Day after tomorrow" was a big success, and went up to the 1st place in the ORICON chart. From then on, her name is frequently appears on every music magazines and the ORICON top 10 list. Mai Kuraki enjoys to listening American music. Right after she watched Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston movies in elementary school, she dreamed to be a singer like them. Because of that fateful day, Mai's music style is a combo of R&B and Hip-Hop with a sweet & mature voice and has even been compared with the pop princess Hikaru Utada. Her great talent will continue giving her fame!
