Born February 1982, Melody is a brand new artist out that grew up in Hawaii with Japanese parents. With this unique background, she grew up in an environment where both American and Japanese cultures were intertwined, including a mixed stle of music - one that mixed American Billboard Top 40, R&B, and Japanese children's songs. This multitalented new star has taken lessons ballet, hip hop and jazz dances, piano, and began vocal training since her childhood, where even then, she dreamed of being a singer. Her modeling career began at the age of 16, where she was able to come to Japan.
When I first heard about this America-Japan crossover singing sensation, I decided to listen to her first single. I enjoyed it's catchy beat and her good vocals and soon became a fan of this rising artist. Let's hope she may continue her career in Japan and continue a path of success! | |
