She went to Japan when she was 8 years old, and now she has a career in both countries.

S.E.S. is a awesome group consisting three girls know as Sea (Bada), Eugene, and Shoo, hence the groups name, S.E.S. (the Initials of these names). The first of the members to be selected was Shoo, who had been living in Japan most of her life (though born in Korea). Her and her dad flew over to Korea so that Shoo could try audition for the part, and she was accepted. Sea, or Bada, was the next member to be selected (she also became the lead singer). She showed up at the auditions as well to try out. Before she was accepted however, she had been attending a performing arts school. She was discovered by an SM Entertainment agent when she was singing in a school performance, that must be why she auditioned I guess. The final member to be selected was Eugene. She had been living in Guam and was attending school at JKF High School. Eugene was discovered because her mom sent in a tape of her dancing, singing, and posing but others believe it was Eugene herself who sent in the tape.

The three of them came together at the end of 1996 (without having any previous acquaintances) and trained for about a year. On November 27, 1997 S.E.S. debuted with their title song "I'm Your Girl" and in February 1998, they won the #1 trophy. Their next song, "Oh! My Love" which also won #1. So far they were making it pretty big with their debut album.

With all this fame in Korea, S.E.S. was beginning to hit it big with other countries as well and in April 1998, they made their first appearance in Japan singing various songs. Later in October they released their first Japanese album with the title song "Meguri Au Sekai."

After resting awhile, they made their comeback in Korea in November 1998 with their second album and with their new hit single, "Dreams Come True." Later in March 1999, they released their next single "Nuh Reul Sa Rang Hae" (I Love You). Following that single, S.E.S. released their second Japanese single "Yume Wo Kasanete" and in June they released their third, "(Ai) Toine No Hokori."

On October 31, 1999 S.E.S made another comeback with their 3rd album and with the new hit, "Love". In this album, S.E.S decided to move away from the cute look and move towards a more mature look. For this album Shoo and Sea had died their hair blond and orange, and that resulted in being banned from KBS kinda dumb huh? I also thought it was dumb when they banned Turbo's new music video Tonight because of violence. They have horrible rating systems, ugh! Anyway, in November, they came out with their 4th Japanese single "Twinkling of Paradise" and in December with "Sign of Love". After that, they released their next song, "Twilight Zone" and were accepted back onto KBS when they dyed their hair color back.

And as we know, whenever stars become this successful, their fans want more and more of them. Because of this, business want them too, so S.E.S has also been in commercials advertising things from shrimp chips to lipstick to shoes. Well, there you have it, now S.E.S. is pretty much the biggest female Korean groups ever.
